Trade Secret on top of Liquid Souveran

Anthony = :bigups Always Tremendous and Amazingly Superb work.
Question: What makes you deceide which products to use? Is it simply a whim...."Product du Jour" or is there more of a scientific approach?
For Example, since this was a metallic finish...what made you chose the products you did vs. Wolfgang?

First, thanks mucho much for the kudos:)

My choice of product on this car was based on looks over protection. I mean the LS and the TS provide protection but he is looking to sell it so I figured this combo would really darken the paint, especially with AIO as a base.

If I had went with say, Wolfgang, I would of not used AIO as a base because it seems Wolfgang has som ecleaning properties to it. Also if durability was the main concern I would of went with a polymer also, perhaps topped with a carnauba.

Lastly, I like messing around with diffirent cobos to see how they look/react. If I come up with a winner then it goes in my book as a winner:cool Two products I have found that really make metallics pop and zing are LS and P21S.

I apologize for my late response but this week has been ultra busy and I came home last nigght, ate and then fell asleep.

Take care,
Anthony

ANTHONY! :wait

You're my inspiration for trying my 12 coat extravaganza last year using TS. The Red Ferrari had me hooked on the benefits of TS. You still rock the house with your combos. I like to do the same, yet haven't found any worthy products lately. Tried the NXT line from Megs and REALLY wasn't impressed, tried Blitz Wax (so so...), but I keep thinking back to my original combo that got me the best results. That winning combo was: HiTemp Light Cut, Klasse SG X 2, Trade Secret X 12. My paint has never been as dark as it was then. I tried Light Cut, Klasse SG X 1, Trade Secret x 1 and a Natty Wax topper; it was VERY bright, but didn't look like I had dropped the car in vegetable oil and brought it back out like with the "12 coat" combo. What are your thoughts on me repeating the same combo w/the 12 coats, and top it with one of Zymol's Estate Glazes? Do you think the Zymol and the TS would get along? Let me know. Also, if you have any suggestions on combos for my little blue bomber, give me a shout, and I'll try it! Great work on the Beemer (as usual).

amazing results, i have a 99 m3 with the same cosmos metallic paint, and i've found that it's a real pleasure to work with. although, i think you did a little better at getting the liquid look, which is what i'm looking for.

i'll try and post some pictures up later today, but here's my regimen:
prep with clay, meg's #1, PP1
then meg's #7, #26 yellow tech (2x with 24 hrs in between applications)

i've been contemplating replacing the #26 with souveran paste, maybe AIO in place of the #7

enough of my rambling though, great job.
