Trade: Sample of Menz Powerlock??

I love my CWB but I tend to rinse my blade quite a bit because I don't want to get that one microscopic particle that will scratch Maxine's paint. I still follow it with a Chamois. :D

Jngrbrdman, I don't believe you buddy! You mean to tell me that if you happen to scratch your car up a bit that you're happy with it because you don't want near perfection. I can sort of understand what you're saying though. You enjoy detailing so much that you really don't mind the occasional work that you might feel that you HAVE to do to work out some flaws in the paint.

I see it this way, I want my car to look as perfect as possible. I can still find some work to do by adding either more Klasse SG or Z-2. I still love to work with SMR, AIO, PPCL, Finesse It 2, etc.. but I love using them on other people's cars. I'm at the point where I hope and strive to NOT use those products that often any more. At least not on my car. I just want to layer more Z-2 and Klasse SG. I guess I'm a bit too much of a perfectionist and don't want to take a step back just so that I can take another step forward. Has anyone ever just used a windshield wiper blade?

Never seen a CWB yet, and I'm not sure how hard or soft it is.

With the wiper blade I've never heard it squeak before. I quess the only downfall is that it sometimes leaves some streaks but they come off easy.

The CWB is surgical silicone or something. Much softer than a wiper blade. I wouldn't want the little metal clips to hit the car from using a wiper.

;) You got me Don. lol You're right. I don't exactly jump up and down when I see scratches or swirls on my car but at least I know I have something to do on the weekend. I don't go out of my way to damage my car for sure. I haven't ever noticed any damage from the CWB though but if I did I'd be more than glad to fix it.

I have read about Powerlock alot lately and am dying to try it out. I am apprehensive to buy it since I have BFWD and WGDGPS (Like 20 oz each). But I really want to try it so my proposal is.....

Is anyone willing to trade a sample for a sample?
My offerings:
85rd, SIP, m105, m205, m95, BFWD, WGDGPS, Klasse HGSG

Let me know

Jon

I guess I'm the only one that has heard this?

I'll keep my sources close to my hand here, but it was from a valued source. Anyhow, does it really matter if they are the same?

Cheers,
GREG

Since we did not formulate Menzerna Powerlock I cannot speak for the actual product, although I can assure you that it is not the same as Wet Diamond, unless super secret spies have broken into the store and stolen the golden ticket (the only known copy of BFWD's chemical properties). To do this they would have first defeated Angelo (a former 007 with British Intelligence), sneak past Michael (who wields a mean broad sword) then passed down a 200 foot tunnel armed with over 600 laser rays and heat sensors (think Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible).

This cunning individual would have to have the Kung Fu of Bruce Lee, the wit of Michael from Prison Break, and will power of The Gladiator. You might need the entire Ocean's 13 team.

In fact I'm not even sure how chemically similar the products are. However there was some similarity between Menzerna FMJ and Blackfire as we used lessons learned in developing FMJ towards Blackfire. In testing both Powerlock and BFWD, I found them to be similar in appearance, but Blackfire is both slightly more slick and lasted far longer.

Thank You Todd, I dislike it when people post something based on second hand news or hearsay , in this business you need facts and the ability to back it up and prove it before you post about products, techniques and so forth......

While I understand your position, I don't just throw crap out to stir the pot. The person that told me this info is a top notch insider, and I believe he can't say I'm correct due to his position.

So your above statement works from my side too............

cheers,
GREG

I thought it was Wolfgang DGPS that was the same as Powerlock? :-B

Regardless, BFWD seemed slightly better to me.
