My dad used it in the early 80's, but I was too young to know how it looked. As I remeber it was top notch at the time.

I've had good luck with it on wax residue on textured door handles and such. It only "blended" them, didn't clean it out, as the residue did show up after about 6 or 7 weeks.

When I used it on the paint, It did get rid of some oxidation, but it really shows marring badly. In fact, if you were to use a "not quite 100% cotton" cloth to apply it, you would end up with marring to deal with. Water beaded nicely. Very shiney, but not real deep. I think it beaded for around a month, 6 weeks.

Probably could be a good 1 step for a beginner, assuming they used foam or a very soft cloth to apply it.

WOW, I used this stuff back in the early 80's on my Z. I liked it back then, applied and waited about an hour and removed. Came off like dust almost, it left a really nice shine, lasted about 4-6 weeks. I was in heaven back then about this product. They still make it?

yup. picked some up at pep boys.

i dont think i would recommend it if you clay your car... since the claying does the job of this... fallowed by a coat of wax.

I used it back then too, and i recalled it being incredible and leaving a super wet shine i've never achieved since with anything else. Then about 2 years ago i found it again after not seeing it on the shelves for years. i of course grabbed a can, but i don't know if they changed it or the paints have changed or what. but in any case i was sorely disappointed. I'd like to know why !

I used TR3 a couple times...never got great results, it smells bad, and leaves residue. I bet it was DA BOMB back in the 80's though...way too many better choices out there, and 10x easier to use choices IMO.

Jeff.

i tried the stuff WAY back in the day i remember it was a real arm breaker .. i thought the RESIN part was some mysterious secret formulation .. maybe it was..

I remember when I used it back inthe mid-eighties, it came in a square tin as a 'pre-softened' paste with a picture of Mr. T on the lid

Remember that stuff probably in the 70's. They sponsored a Fuel Dragster in NHRA and promoted heavily at the drags. Not remarkable but it didn't suck.
