What are the hardest/ most tedious wheels you've ever cleaned?



For me its the wheels I have on MY car.. :grrr

If I go a couple weeks without cleaning my car.. brake dust on these things is a nightmare! Its a pain getting into all the spokes and the corners. I often find myself removing the wheels to clean them thoroughly.. not to mention clean the calipers! Which I find very hard to do with the wheels on.



I swear, next time I buy wheels.. i'm gonna buy like a plain 5 spoke wheel :grinno:



Is P21s wheel cleaner the best there is? I see a lot of people use them, right now I'm using Griots Garage Wheel Cleaner.. and its a little on the weak side in terms of stubborn brake dust.

That sounds good until you bend a wheel, or five like I did. That's why my current wheels have, what, 15 spokes? Yes they're a pain to clean, even worse now that I have slotted rotors, but now the car stops and the wheels don't bend!

I have an ez-detail brush. Works pretty good, except not so good when you have extremely heavy brake dust. It tends to not take 100% of it off. I'm gonna try some p21s wheel gel.
