Tough Scratches

I decided to try and remove some water spotting and light scratches on my wife's charcoal Maxima. I already buffed it about a month ago with Hi-Temp's Medium cut leveler with the rotary, followed by Optimum's polish on the Cyclo. I was a little disappointed that all of the water spots and scratches did not come out. Today, I used my new Metabo rotary with Menzerna Power Gloss on one side of the hood, and Hi-Temp's Extreme Cut leveler on the other side of the hood. I then followed with Optimum Polish, also with the Metabo. I used a yellow waffle foam pad with the Menzerna and Hi-Temp, and a black waffle foam pad with the Optimum. I made three passes each with the Menzerna PG and the Hi-Temp ECL. The surface was pretty hot, and the polishes were drying fairly quickly. I was amazed that all of the scratches were still not removed. Anyways, here are some before and afters. By the way, I used Optimum Car Wax to seal.
