Torn apart between 2 Stripping washes DI CW Vs. CG CWD

Yeah, TAW is pricey, for sure. A couple years ago or so, I started a thread here looking for alternatives to TAW, as it was just too spendy. Wish I could remember exactly who it was (so I could give proper credit), but someone in that thread recommended Prep Wash. Haven't bought a bottle of TAW since. PW is much stronger than TAW. It can also be used as a post-polish wipe down, similar to IPA. I like to use both... first wipe with prep wash, then a quick wipe with IPA. Honestly, I can't think of an application where I'd use TAW instead of prep wash.

Doh! sorry to keep going off topic on ya, mystickid.. enough about Prep Wash.. let's hear from the Citrus Wash and Citrus Wash Daily users!

I'm with Super on every reply he has made thus far... both regarding CG stuff and the TOL PW.

Supe I don't remember if I told you about it or you told me about it (it was probably you schooling me as that's the norm around here haha) but I remember speaking with you about the TOL PW a few years back, and also about CG CWG. I know for a fact you pushed me to use CWG more and more, and it's now my soap of choice for maintenance washes.

I forgot where I read it, but I THINK there was a forums somewhere that mentioned mixing prep with CW I think G? Curious if anyone here has tried it and if so how it worked out

Alex, I use PW with CWClear all the time when doing a prep wash before polishing work. I have yet to really try out the new CG CW, but the clear and gloss work great with PW. I don't like the lubricity, or lack thereof, of the PW, so for prep washes I usually use 4 gallons of water with 3-4oz. of CWC and 3-4oz. of PW in a 5 gallon bucket. I also use them together in the foam gun, mixing PW and CWC 50/50, spraying a little water inside, then spray the paint with it. I have found it to work great and clean really well.
