OK so I polished my car like normal took out all swirls and RIDS put on 2 coats of Zaino Z-2 Pro then a coat of Natty's Blue. This was about 2 weeks ago.

Now my question is can I put another coat of Zaino or any sealant for that matter or it will not stick since I have a coat of nuba Wax on it?

If this is true I can only either use zaino AIO then use Z-2 or Z-5 put a wax on top of it and use only a wax as maintenance?

Also would the Zaino CS stick on top of a nuba wax?

I was always under the impression that any sealant would not stick to a uncleaned surface(ISO Wipedown) but if i do that it is removing everything and I am basically starting from scratch..

Should I just keep using the nattys blue and top that with the Zaino CS as a maintenance routine. I normally wax my car once a week or once every other week.

Thanks

i don't claim to to know everything about waxes and sealants but i do know you should'nt put a sealeant over a wax { bonding issues}. so i would continue using natty's every week or so as you would normally do.

That was also the impression I was under but just making sure.

Also can I use a Glaze over the zaino then top that with Nuba then with CS??

Thanks,

I'm just curious, why didn't you use the Z5 or the AIO first? Then the Z2?

My Zaino experience is that you use Z5 then the Z2. Or the AIO then the Z2.

I have a coat of Natty's blue & a coat of Natty's red on top of 2 coats

of Z5 & 2 coats of Z2.

So what's the point of having multi coats of Zaino if you're going to redo it every week??

With two coats already you should be set for at least 6 months. Why not just use some Z8 on it each week after you wash it and redo the sealant every other month or whatever?

.....and if you knew you were going to reZaino it next week, why did you put a nuba on it to begin with?

IMO you're overdoing it.

You can do whatever you'd like, remember it's your car! :) If you like the look of Natty's Blue, keep waxing with it each week (you mentioned you wax weekly). If you want to add more Zaino you can 1) wait about a month for the Natty's Blue to wear off and add more Zaino or 2) mix up a strong car wash solution of Z7 (twice the normal amount of soap) and it'll remove most of the Natty's Blue then add a coat of Zaino. You can then maintain with Z-CS (since you have it) whenever you'd like. Whatever you decide, post some pics, share your results, and have fun maintaining your car!

All I wanted to know is will Zaino stick to a nuba or does it have to be perfectly fresh paint.

Also the reason I wax weekly is because no matter what product I use it feels very smooth and slick after the waxing but a few days later and a wash or two and the smoothness is gone and the paint feels "sticky" almost so that makes me assume there is no more wax/sealants on the car so that is why I wax so much.

My normal routine about once a month is polish the car with a mild polish just to take any minor swirls out with maybe a white pad, then Zaino Z-2 or Z-5 whichever one i feel like using that day. Two coats of the zaino then I top that with Nattys Blue or a few other nuba's I have again which ever one I feel like using that day. Then after all that I give it one last wipe down with the Green Cobra Shamrock MF towel to get rid of any left of residue and while i am doing that i spritz some zaino CS and rub that in.

Does my process seem a little over the top? I am very OCD when it comes to my car so thats why I do it that way.

The quick answer is no Zaino will not bond to a layer of carnauba. The oils in the carnauba will prevent a good bond. You CAN use Zaino over previous layers of Zaino, AIO products like Klasse AIO, or compatible sealants (Duragloss sealants come to mind). If you are using a light polish once a month you are removing the Natty's blue and can add more Zaino anyway. You can also do a 50/50 Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol/distilled water wipedown at anytime (which I do after polishing to remove the oils) to ensure a good bond with the Zaino. Hope that helps.
