Topping EXP with Natty's...can you see a difference?

wifehatescar

My L5-S1 is killing me!
I just topped my EXP'ed hood with Natty's (kept just EXP on the rest of the car). Does anyone else *truly* see an improvement using Natty's over EXP or is it mostly "all in your mind"?

I'm all for making cars look their best but not sure if Natty's made my EXP look any better:dunno
My car looks good either way, just trying to justify topping EXP.

I think it's a matter of personal opinion and largely depends on the color of the vehicle. In my experience, pure sealant's tend to have high gloss but not as much depth as a quality carnuba. By topping with a good carnuba you can add more depth to your finish. Like I said, it's mostly personal opinion. Use what looks best to you and your ride.

Mainly I ask because they are suppose to have a similar look, Natty's just supposidly boosts the clear, reflective look more.
I think I'm visually challenged. Prep makes more a different to me. LSP's all look the same to me (or very close to where ease of use wins over any look differences)

Natty's and EX-P are both exceptionally clear products. As a result, they tend to take on the characteristics of the preceding layers. Because of this, there does not appear to be much of a change in appearance when topping EX-P with Natty's. However, Natty's does a little better job at hiding micromarring. I currently like to use EX-P x 2 and then top with Natty's on my daily driver.

The Natty's still hides marring AFTER using EXP?

If so, that's reason enough for me to use it as a topper...

I would have thought the EXP would "seal over" the micromarring, not allowing anything else to then fill them in (hide them)

It doesn't really fill. Natty's is just not quite as clear as EX-P so it does hide a little more than EX-P. If you have a lot of marring, neither EX-P nor Natty's will do much to hide it.

Thanks. I was also wondering also how long can I expect Natty's to last on average? Also, is it any more durable than S100/P21S?

On my garaged cars, S100 and Natty's both last a little over 2 months. Natty's seems to attract less dust.
