Toppers for that extra pop

Everything you say is dead on. However, coatings don't NEED toppers nor do very durable sealants. Yes some people see the difference, I will argue that a good sealant or coating over a well done correction is more than adequate even for the most discerning customer.

I thnk coatings muck up the ability to recoat at a later time should it be necessary and waxes and sealants "hold" more dirt and debris than a coating. If you can get the extra $, coat it, charge for it and put them on maintenance.

That would be my suggestion. Same revenue per year, happier customer (with a self cleaning car) and most end users wont do their own coatings for fear of messing them up.

My 2 cents.

I always try to put a durable paint protectant on most all of my customers vehicles. Typically I will use a sealant such as DG 105 or a wax such as a Collinite 845. I always get good looks and great durability with these products. Although these products are durable, I am always searching for a quick topper of some sort to add some additional "wow" factor for the customer when they pick the vehicle up. Durability for the topper is of no major concern just easy application and "eye popping" results. I have used some of the sprays such as Aquawax and V7 but have been looking for something additional. I have heard some good things about Nattys Liquid blue or HD Poxy for topping sealants. I would like to hear any opinions and suggestions that you may have.
