Topper for HD Speed?

I have some speed I am going to use to help a friend out.  To give him some durability, I want to top it.  How does 845 work over speed?

Have you thought about HD Poxy??   Fantastic look over Speed, especially on dark colors, and you should get 3-4 months protection.
 
Probably OCW, mainly because it'd offer nearly the same durability without the lengthy application process of Poxy.

My experience with Poxy is that it was dead after 2 months of sitting outside.
 
I've used plenty of products over speed, I don't think you would have any issue using 845 as a topper. If you want to add just a little durability and a lot more shine Meg's UQW or D156 (same product) are very quick and effective solutions.
 
I typically wash my cars weekly using ONR with wax so if I use Speed to sharpen the paint once every couple months, I'll then wash them the following week and then ONRWW will give all the protection I need.


 


Occasionally though, I will use a stronger solution of ONRWW as a detailing spray and go over the car on the day I use Speed. I find my ONRWW solution flashes off with no streaking better than just OCW.
 
Whenever somebody mentions durability, and that they're leaning towards 845 (which I don't hate by any means), I think they oughta buy FK1000P instead unless it's a vehicle with some *serious* black exterior trim issues (and I never had problems using the FK on vehicles like that anyhow).  The durability diffs between FK1000P and 845 are simply night-and-day IME.
 
OneQuickGT1- Ah, but you can explain how that one moderately priced can of wax will last for ages.  I do big vehicles with mine, and I doubt I'll need a new can every decade.  Since the stuff lasts so long, you're not redoing it as often, and you know how little product it takes for those thin thin thin sealant applications.


 


And for those "for a pal" details, I think the durability will really work out well...he'll be happy with how it sheds dirt and lasts so long, and you won't have to redo it any time soon.  And no Autopian [crap] about how it's "not quite the right look" because it's not [whatever beauty wax people are hot for today], to your friend it'll just look nice and shiny.
 
You guys gotta try HD Express. It was created to top/booster Speed/Poxy/Nitro-Seal. Super easy to apply and looks amazing.
