Topped with Souveran - How to Maintain?

I've always used sealants when detailing my car, but this time I topped my sealant (which was 2 coats of Duragloss 105) with Souveran. I've never topped with a carnauba before so I'm not sure what would be the best products to use now to maintain.

Here are the "booster waxes" I have:

Crystal Mist
Optimum Carwax
Duragloss Aqua Wax
ClearKote Quikshine (I guess this is also a QD)
WG Deep Gloos Sprtiz Sealant

Here are the QD's I have:

Duragloss FCS
PB Spray & Wipe
ONR
Griot's Speedshine

What would you guys suggest I use? BTW, the car is a black Honda Pilot.

Thanks...and happy holidays to everone!

Other than putting another coat on a month or so down the road, I would clean with S&W and use QD to finish. I'm not a total fan of layering products, I tend to like doing the job once as you have, then using a good maintenance program until I do it again, or feel like another coat of paste wax is needed, as I said to start.

To keep that black looking good make sure that you are using good MF towels and if bucket washing the mitt is a good one so that you don't induce swirls, you can see in my avatar that the black BMW is mine

I would not suggest that you apply any sealants on top of the wax!

Poorboy's S&W to clean and Crystal Mist to maintain.

I thought that Crystal Mist was made to work with Souveran???

thanks for information. Maintaining is so important, after all the work I put into cleaning, polishing and sealing, I want to be able to enjoy all the work I put into it. Of course, I drove it today, and within minutes the dust is there...the price you pay for having black!

I want to be sure I do it right. I think I have a good technique when washing: 2 buckets, grit guards, sheepskin wash mitt...I just received a schmitt, so I have to see how that works. WW for drying.

I'm a microfiber addict. I have well over 200 microfibers, and still growing. The ones I use are from PB, DC, Cobra and Pakshack. They are neatly folded in containers.

All I need to do now is learn to drive with the glass bubble around the car :)

Since you don't have your location shown in your profile, I have no idea what your weather conditions might be, but.....
1. Keeping it clean with either a bucket wash or Spray & Wipe, followed by a QD would be my basic maintenance. In my case, that is done whenever the vehicle is dirty/dusty. That might be weekly or daily depending on the weather.
2. Souveran is a little out of my price range, but I would think it would have the usual carnauba durability of about a month. If that is the case, then I would apply the Souveran every 30 days for about 3 to 6 months, then start over with a paint cleaning, DG601, DG105, Souveran routine again. If the Souveran durability is less/more, I would apply more Souveran as needed. In my mind, that would be at least monthly.:)
3. Once or twice a year, (as needed), a polishing to remove swirls followed by the DG601, DG105, Souveran and you should be good to go.

In my case, I don't use a swirl remover as often as some. Any time you polish with an abrasive product, you remove some paint. Since I sometimes have vehicles a lot of years, I really don't want to literally polish the paint off.
It has also been my experience that many "swirls" are actually in the LSP rather than in the paint and quite often the use of a good paint cleaner will remove them.

Thanks for the tips, this is very helpful. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so our winters are quite mild compared to a lot of people here. I usually only drive this car on weekends and trips, otherwise it spends most of the time in the garage.

I would have never bought souveran, but I hear so many people saying great things about it. So when AG had it on sale for, I think was $59.99, in addition to a gift certificate I bought at 25% off, my actual price was quite reasonable...for souveran that is.

When Souveran was designed, to go up and compete against Zymols Destiny, it was designed to allow added durability by using the Pinnacle Soap (very light PH balance) and Crystal Mist to enhance the "pop" and longevity of the wax itself. Problem is, Souveran is so darn easy to apply and remove when done correctly (WOWO) that some just prefer to add more Souveran every couple weeks.

Souveran Protection --- 4 to 6 Weeks

Souveran/Crystal Mist ---- 6 to 8 weeks

Now again these are dependant upon your environment. Souveran was designed in Florida to deal with humidity quite well, but obviously one of the toughest environments.
