Top quality leather cleaner.

Can anyone recommend a leather cleaner and a conditioner that you would say is the best you've ever used. Preferably NOT a combo cleaner/conditioner.

Thanks for any input.

hey i am not all about zaino i use all products but what i have read they are the best. the cleaner is good and the conditioner actually smells like leather. it is a bit expensive but search around and you will see it is one of the best.

For volume i would go with CG they make a decent cleaner also

Really I have used Leather masters products for nearly 10 years now.

Google leather masters.

For normal leather seats i use:

leather masters soft cleaner x2

leather masters conditioner x2

leather masters protection cream x1

for heavy duty cleaning i will spot clean with leather masters strong cleaner. then soft cleaner on the whole seat.

Add into it the nubuck/suede, re-dyeing, repair, crack filling in capabilities, and vinyl care leather masters is an excelent all round leather product line.

It however is expensive and time consuming as each step requires the seats to fully dry. A blow dryer on low heat will vastly speed this up.

HAHA, So I googled leather masters, clicked on the first link (Which looked reasonable) and it took me right to a leather clothing company for men and women.

Specializing in leather whips!! HA, I was confused until i realized what I had just clicked on.

I also use Leather Master products. The soft cleaner is different because you put the cleaner on a sponge and squeeze it to create foam. It cleans great! The Leather Vital is amazing. It made my seats a lot softer and got rid of the leather "squeking." I also like that you can just apply Vital or Protection Cream and let it dry (don't need to buff off excess).

I purchase the Leather Master products from Top of the Line.

The Sonus leather combo is also great. It does have a "clean" scent (which I don't care for) at first, but the smell quickly goes away. I like the way it makes the seats feel (holds you in, but not too grabby). A little goes a long way too.

I like to clean leather with woolite and water the I condition with Danase Leather Rx even though it is combo. It leaves a nice natural look. I also like Duragloss Leather Cleaner and also there conditioner.

Leatherique Pristine clean. Still looking for something for those really dirty leathers without resorting to using APC diluted.

Al, maybe you'll be more specific about what you're trying to take care of. How old? Condition? Surface problems. Otherwise, people are just going to continue rattling offer the various potions available and may not get at the heart of your concern.

Does that make sense?

Head over to CarQuest, or maybe Napa, and pick up some Duragloss Leather Cleaaner and the Conditioner (separate products). These are very underrated (like most of DGs stuff) and can be had for very reasonable prices. The cleaner works very well and the conditioner also is very nice. It smells exactly like Zaino's conditioner actually.

Preferably, a cleaner would be a neutral PH, and not contain any butyl type solvents. APC's do work well, however, most are a high PH. Most also contain butyl. I am personally not a big fan of cream type conditioners. Many protectants work well on coated leather, just make sure to wipe dry any excess. I personally like to use a combination product made for leather. Gentle cleaning and light conditioning in one quick step. If you are worried about protection, just reapply often.

I'm just trying to get a feel for what everyone else likes enough for me to give it a try. I use Sonus, but i've also used megs combo and it's WAY to thick to work with. I can't stand the stuff. So it's not really a specific situation as to why i'm asking it's really just an inquiry.

Thanks for the interest though!

Well let us start with how you apply it, work it in, and finish it out?

Ideally you allways want to apply product to a towel, or sponge and work in. It is actually working it in. A gental messaging if you will. Simply wiping it on will give subpar performance IMHO.
