Top of the Line Question

Could that number just be referring to the types of waxes in the can, rather than all the ingredients as a whole? Maybe 30% of the total ingredients are waxes with 75% of those being of the carnauba variety. The other 25% of the waxes could be bees wax, parafin, etc. :dunno Just guessing here.

I'd be willing to bet Marj nailed it but I guess anything is possible. Can this stuff be used as sidewalk chalk? LOL

I'm wrong when it comes to Zymol. Quite a few of their waxes are listed as containing over 40% carnauba by volume (white and yellow) and a couple over 50%. All of them do state the wax must be heated in the palm of your hand before applying and to not leave it on for more than 30-60 seconds. I need to pick me up some of that $1300.00 Zymol! Here is some interesting stuff re: Carnauba and of course, some Zymol marketing garb;

http://www.zymol.com/carnauba.htm

Back to TS and Souvereign.....a while ago someone did a comparison of a few well known, popular carnauba paste waxes and the one with the most carnauba content was Blitz. I don't recall the exact number but I think it was somewhere in the 30% range. TS wasn't in the mix but Souvereign was and it wasn't close to Blitz.

Total carnauba % by volume means very little when it comes to the look a wax will leave behind. One of the most highly regarded, P21s, uses more than just carnauba in its formulation. I'm sure a 50% carnauba by volume product would bead like mad and protect extremely well but it would be a bear to use. It better last a long long time because you wouldn't want to have to apply it every month.

EDIT: Nick.....I was keying in this response as you already posted yours. Yep, I was checking the Zymol site when you were posting that which is why I admitted to being incorrect on the Zymol. I sure would love to try that stuff at least once. If no ther reason than to say I tried it. Oh, you get lifetime refills!!! LOL

Yeah Natty, what you need to do is get the Sampler pack for $175. I did, but haven't tried them out yet. I'm hoping they state their claim!

By the way, when it comes to durability for a paste wax with pretty good looks, One Grand's Blitz is the way to go. Very similar to looks at P21S and S100.

Anyhow, the prices are really fair and they ship very fast too. With them being in Arkansas (middle of the country) shipping is typically pretty quick via UPS.
