Too Many Excellent Sealants

Okay, Just used Wolfgang Sealant this weekend on the 4Runner. It was amazingly easy to use and the shine and slickness were the best. I have previously used SG which I will only use on my wheels just for the protection.

Autopia is addictive. Once you think you have it all figured out you end up reading more and become even more confused. I've heard alot of good things about Poorboys EXP and EX with Carnuba.

If you had to pick one product out of the 3 that delivers great shine and protection which one would it be, Wolfgang, EXP or EX with Carnuba?

You're so right about Autopia. I'm addicted as well! I've not tried the Poorboys products yet, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. maybe next month I'll splurge on some. As for the Wolfgang.......I loved the ease of use and the deep wet shine it gives. Durability with the Wolfgang, I found to be below average. The funny part is that I wax/seal every month, maintaining with a QD atleast once a week and using a booster product every week and a half, so the durability factor really isn't too much of a concern with me. hopefully, someone else will chime in with some better info ya. Happy Detailing!!!

It depends on the color of your car.

Dark; WG

Light or metallic; EX-P

I havent tried EX w Carnauba yet.

Just my 2 cents here..........Zaino, Klasse Twins,UPP have proven to be the best Synthetics I've used. I love the look of the Wolfgang on my black truck, but it comes in as my 5th rated synthetic.

I was really hoping this was the product that would give me great shine, ease of use and durability. Looks like that won't be the case with WG. Would multiple coats improve the durability?

They also say don't use close to evening because the moisture in the evening air will prohibit the product from curing properly. It needs to be water free for 12 hours. Where I live we can't always depend on the weather being cooperative. There have been times when I detail a vehicle and a couple of hours later it rains.

Are other sealant this way when it comes to moisture?

Looks wise on both Wolfgang and Ex with carnuba both look great on dark colours. I struggle to choose which one I like best.

Cant comment on Durability as I always seem to top. On useage both have plus and minus points.

The EX can be taken off straight away if you want. Its not as easy to apply as the Wg as its quite thick. Also I feel the WG wipes off easier. The Wolfgang is super easy on and off, but does need time to cure, 30-45 mins here in the UK climates, and does tell you that it needs to be moisture free to cure properly.

Of the three sealants mentioned above I would go with EX on black. As several have said Autopia is addictive, we will never be happy just using one product. So, just to make things even more confusing how about CMW, it looks great on black!

EX with nuba did not provide the durability I like. Seems one wash or one week of Florida abuse and it was not smooth any longer. It still beaded though. I have become a topping addict now so even if you go with EX with nuba which looked great on my explorer that is gold I would top it with nattys or something.

i know exactly how you feel.. i feel as if i've been around the world from the amount of sealants and waxes i've accumulated.. but its all good.. I choose none of the above instead and would go with Poorboys EX-P+

Man, I have atleast 6 different sealant sitting here.

4* UPP for silver yep

WG-DGS for dark like black or red

EX-P for light color like my crappy heather mist color Accord.

Yup Autopia is addictive alright. I join this club back Oct 2004? I had already spend like 1200 or more of wax and hardware.

Anyone wanna sell me a' sample of the EX and Natty's(enough to do one SUV). I have a black pathfinder and I'm thinking of SSR 2.5 --> EX --> Natty's. I would be willing to buy these two from someone who no longer uses them or needs money for something else.
