I really don't think TOL is trying to build an "empire". They are a small family owned business that treats its customers with the care that "word of mouth" pays off. I don't use alot of their products, but I definately use them for some of my staples. I have found that there are many good companies out there who supply me with the different products I need to run my business professionally and cost effectivley. If I can get great service from 2 seperate companies, and can save money on the exact same product, it's only good business to use the one that can save me money. I run a business, so I look at things differently than if I was using the products for personal use only.
