I have been reading and lerking for a while here. During my last post about the PC y'all convinced me that it is the way to go.

My wifes car has swirls and water spots. Can someone with PC experience give the the steps using the PC to bring it up to the point that I would then go with Klasse or what ever the polish of the day is. I am very concerned about damaging the clear. I have read about wool pads and leveling but sounds agressive.

I'm about to FREAK man!!!! :)

Any advice is appreciated.

3M's SMR works great on a foam pad with the PC. SMR also comes in a formula for light colored cars.

Last weekend I used it with CMA's white foam pad on a black car and in a word... WOW! It looked terrific and noticiably better with one coat of SMR than when I used two coats of SMR by hand. I covered it up with only one coat of 3M's Show Car Liquid Wax while I'm waiting for my PPCL to arrive. The liquid wax was also imo a great product to use with the PC. It gave the black a clear, glassy shine and was very easy to remove partially because the PC allowed me to put down really thin layers of wax.
