Used 3M 1500 grit compound
Race Glaze Leveling Compound
Race Glaze Polish Sealant
I charged $75.00 ( Candian ). Crazy price, I know...took me 4 hours too..
That's a big car I tell you..
The PC is a great machine I have to say that again...
I charged low because I don't have many customers so I have to enrice by price..what can I do...

Tarios,

It looks great!!!! The only detraction to my eye, is inside the wheel wells (as visible in the first picture). Perhaps a little hosing out, followed by Poorboys B 'n B or some other dressing, just to make them "all black".

I don't think that you should sell yourself short - you've done a very good job, and I think that should speak for itself. Enticing by price is not always a good thing, as it could detract from your reputation. $75 Canadian is too cheap for the results you produced, IMHO!!!

Yes I know it's cheap and I did work hard on it. But I'm just scared that $150.00 or so won't be too inviting so people will probably go to the fancy detail shop offering cappucino instead..you know what I mean..
Well lets just say with this one car...this clients co workers called me..and I lined up 4 more cars back to back..

Wheel wells-- Oh, I didn't forget them. I definitely saw that too/..but I was pressed for time....I definitely would have done it but I just couldn't make the deadline...client wanted his car by 17h00..I justhad time to do the windows you know..
But I did see it when I was giving to the client...
But thanks much for those great compliments on my work...
I just booked this clients co-worker for tomorrow a.m.
A smaller RSX silver...

Not to beat on you, but there are 75 dollars between $75 and $150. I just think that you shouldn't sell your time and talents short. Maybe next time try for $100? :dunno - This is just MY opinion, and I only do my own cars, so have no experience in "professional detailing". Perhaps a few pros will jump in with their advice?:dunno

When I was in Vancouver a few weeks ago, I did see some brochures advertising "full" details from $450 & up!!!:eek I'm guessing that would include the cappucino:lol

Good luck with your business!!!

tarios: very nice work

I'd make up for the underpriced detail by getting the owner of the Lincoln to provide you with a few leads and NOT reveal the price you charged. Call it a loss-leader.

IMHO, 4 hours of work is worth at least $160 US so that's got to be around $200 CDN

Ya I just emailed him.
Asked him to maintain that price for his co-workers at his office but to not disclose that price to people outside that.
Told him I would still give a great deal to his friends a lot less than pro detail shops etc..
Seemed happya nd understood the message..
Guys sells sport bikes so he knows the dealing business and what not..
Thanks again for the help and kind words guys..
Nick...

You did a really nice job on the car.
Like the others said don't sell yourself short (I know your starting out), but thats a lot of car for what you got.

Good luck in your new business

Thank you..
On the wheels I used good 'ol Mother's Chrome Polish..with cotton towel..and buffed them out..I really don't like those rims hate those kind of rims..cleaning them at least is what I dislike...in and out of every spoke..and sometimes you stump your finger against one of the 'spokes' and ouuucchh..
However Mother's Chrome Polish is really one of the best I have ever used....and easiest at that.
