This RS6 is the track car of the owner of the Porsche 993TT. He is going to retire the RS6 from the track. It is his daily driver now. It has 83k miles but the body of the car is in great shape and he does take care of his cars well.
This was was in need of a good polish. He said the paint looked dull and it did for sure. He had it on the track one last time a month or two ago and for now he will be having some fun with the Porsche.
Here are some befores:
The wheels needed some love too, so I cleaned them up with Meguiars APC and some P21S wheel cleaner. I polished the lips by hand (owner didn't care much about them, but I wanted some shine):
Before:
After
I clayed the car first, as I could feel contaminants all over the place. Here's the clay after 1 panel:
Now the paint is different. Some panels responded well to PO106ff and an orange pad and some responded well to #80 and an orange pad, so I changed it up a bit. Audi clearcoat is pretty tough, so here's how it was before:
Before:
After:
I continued polishing, some panels were in the "before" condition above, some weren't...
I then sealed the car with Poorboy's EX and then rolled it out for a few pics, but the pollen in the air (he lives in a very wooded area) was not only killing my allergies, but getting all over the car...
Finished:
