Tire/Rubber Cleaners ? Anyone ?

Hey all im looking at a few specialized rubber and tire cleaners such as Four Star and Mothers alike, my question is besides APC which i wish not to use on my tires I need a specialty product to bring to play ball.

My history was prior using Eagle One Tire And Wheel Cleaner all in one, this product worked well and you could see the dirt comming off the tire almost instantly but product itself and the long term effects of this on wheels and tires i heard wasnt good so i switched to diluted APC and has not been working well for me AT ALL.

I need desperate help getting a good tire cleaner only as I already have wheel cleaners, and i would prefer a NON AIO style product if possible !

I have used Westley's Bleche-White for years.I've used the last of what remained so I too am in the market for a tire cleaner.I've heard Westley's was bad for tires although I don't know why as it is a tire product. Also I want to try something different. :passout:

Some thing that I have looked for as well...recently I got a gallon of PB APC..since its highly concentrated you can mix up some for rubber and wheel wells...its what I've done and very happy with the results..

My current mix for this area is 6 part water to 1 part APC...you can see the APC turn the rubber tires brown almost on impact...with a brush they come out great..also on white lettering works like a charm to clean that area as well

I use APC mostly with great results. You can look into Amazing Roll Off, it seems popular for tire cleaning

well im gonna be no longer diluting any APC as i can never get it right to work well for me

i just would rather have a seperate cleaner all together, has anyone tried mothers or the four star brands ?

APC is pretty generic term for the most part...not all are equal in quality and cutting abilities...I have not used the ones that you are asking about, but for cleaning tires a good quality APC will do the job.

Good luck

right now ive been using diluted castrol super clean and it sucks IMO .. I have also used kleen flo and really like it for all other uses but is OK on tires and better than what ive been using up.

im looking at getting the megs detailer jug of APC or trying out new ones but i think i would rather get a specific tire cleaner thats foolproof

... a specific tire cleaner thats foolproof

Westley's Bleche White is a specific tire cleaner that's available locally. Works well on tires IMO.

There's some issues with using it on wheels. And then some folks say it degrades the tires. In rebuttal, I'll say that it's been out a long, long time and I have never, ever heard of someone replacing their tires because BW (or any other cleaner for that matter) ate through the sidewalls before they wore the tread out on them. However, I'm sure I'll hear about it now since I said something...

I have found that the APC just does not work correctly on tires. Try the stuff above i linked to it works good I use it all the time and when i have stuff that it won't remove i step up to the Westley's

Top of the Line has a specific tire cleaner. I am in the same boat as you, wanting a dedicated tire cleaner. I just haven't gotten around to place an order at TOL ... but that's probably the best bet, IMO.
