Tire Dressing recommendation

I've been using EINSZETT Tiefenpfleger which I recently purchased from David's store, with excellent results. Beautiful satin finish, with excellent durability.

Good job Jim! Must be an Atkins guy. I just went from a 41 to a 35 and man do I feel great!

I've done the same. In fact I'm consistently amazed at the quality of the stuff in that 1Z line.

I like Clearkote's Tire Treatment myself. I've also used Poorboy's Natural Look as weel.. Both give me the nice matte look I like with my tires,

If you prefer a matte look, I purchased a tire dressing spray a few months ago called Grande Finale made by Clean Touch. (32 oz. spray btl.) I tried it again a few weeks ago on neighbor's car I worked on. I sprayed it once, let it sit for a few minutes then spread it with tire swipe. It gave a super matte-look to his tires once it soaked in. The same look I got from 303 the one time I used it, only it's silicone free. Don't remember exactly how much it cost but roughly the same as 16 oz. of 303. Looks good in wheel wells too.

I prefer Poorboy's Bold'N'Bright or Turtle Wax's Tire gels to provide a satin-to-gloss look.

Take care everyone....V

I've been using Eagle One Concours Tire Dressing aka Satin Finish Tire Shine aka Interior/Exterior Protectant for the better part of 15 years. If you can find it, try it.

I've also used Pinnacle's Vinyl and Rubber Lotion stuff which I think is the best protectant I've ever tried but at $20/bottle is a tad rich for my blood.

Vinylex is great on tires and about as nice as the Pinnacle.

I've been using 303 on tires lately with very good results. I wasn't too impressed with it on tires when I tried it years ago but I'm liking it more and more now.

Those are my top 4. All are water based so none last a long time but I don't really care about that. I wash my car (incl cleaning my tires) every 7-10 days so they get a reapplication of protectant frequently.

I like 303 the best, nice matte look but rich and dark black. I apply using an Eagle One foam tire swipe and just let the product soak into the tire. Like others have mentioned, I too am not overly concerned with durability since I wash every week to two weeks. I like it because I use it on my interior and exterior trim also, one product, many uses. I also like the fact that it doesn't take much to do the job and couple of sprays on the swipe and it covers a tire. Another plus is the UV protection it offfers.

I like a slightly satin finish, so I use Vinylex with a terry applicator on my car. However, my wife likes shiny ones, so she gets the Meg's Endurance High Gloss applied with a terry applicator. Don't forget to roll that car forward a foot or so, to get the spots you missed!:D

I just tried Platinum's tire gel after going through countless bottles of Megs. purple goo, and I like it a lot better. Not quite as shiny and it smells pretty good. Durability is good as is expected as with a gel. Eimann Fabrik black opal looks great but smells terrible.

Tires are tires... I hate wasting time on this aspect!

It's Stoner "More Shine, Less Time" for me! Lasts long enough, and if I need more, whip out the spray can again and hit them.

303 is good as well, but if not wiped off, watch for sling!

Try the Stoner on the wheel wells too! Or for more lasting wheel well protection/look, try Megs EK.

Deanski

I used it and the over spray wasn't too bad just be VERY careful spraying it or even applying it with an applicator on a windy day, then it will get all over your paint.

Sooo many products!

1. Use your Armorall bottles for target practice.

2. Get the tires as clean as possible.

3. Choose your weapon carefully.

a. 303 very good- *very* expensive. SIX times more than Malco's "Appeal" (no UV protection)

b. Eagle One's Super Blue (easy on, wait 2-3 hours- no sling...)
