Tips for cleaning inside of rear window?

The rear window inside my car is real hard to clean the bottom of it because it's on such a slant and it is very tight to fit my hands with the cloth in to wipe it down and clean it....so naturally it looks like crap compared to the rest of the window...does anyone have this problem and know a solution to it?

Thanks

Do you have a water blade? Depending on the angle, you might be able to squeegee whatever glass cleaner you're using off. Could also try wrapping MF over the end of a thin dowel rod and using that.

A MF towel over a plastic spatula seems to work the best for me.

Unfortunately, that best could be better. The high mounted brake light is almost impossible for me to clean behind.

2000 Pontiac GTP, anyone have a better idea?

Hi everyone,

I learned this technique from Anthony Orosco last August, and it has worked for me... I'm sure he wouldn't mind me posting it, so here it is in his words:

"I will give you all a nifty little window "crevice" device. You will need 2 magnets, as flat as you can get and about a inch or so long. Radio Shack has a good variety, usually. You will also need a yard stick type handle, cut down to about 12 - 15 inches. Glue one magnet on the end of the stick, "Liquid Nails" works ok, or silicone adhesive. The other magnet goes on the inside of the windshield and you place a micro-fiber towel over it and nestle it in the corner of the windshield, Then place another towel over the magnet glued to the end of the stick and pass it over the magnet on the inside of the windshield. It should pick up the other magnet (providing you have the polarities correct) and you can pretty much clean the inside of the window from outside of the car! OR you can go to www.topoftheline.com and order their window cleaning wand. It works pretty good. Tell Irene I said "HI"

There may be a device like this out there, and if there is they better pay up!! Experiment with it and I am sure it will work for you. You may need to modify it a bit for certain cars."

Wow, talk about cleaning gadgets! :lol That idea sounds pretty neat but I can just see myself not getting the setup right. :p Not that I need such a thing right now anyway.

new Guru Glass Cleaner Report. It has alot of useful information, tips, hints and above all the best buy for glass cleaners. And all for just a few dollars. I very much enjoyed the report and ended up buying their top 2 recommendations.

Just bought mine 2 minutes ago ;)

I have the same problem with my back windshield. I just put a towel over an ice scraper and my problem was solved.

I don't know. Would the magnet trick result in enough pressure to scrub away on the glass? It seems sometimes even when you can get your hands on it and scrub with reasonable force, the glass still isn't clean so unless you have super-duper powerful attraction between the magnets...

Although I've not tried it, I recall someone mentioning that wrapping a MF towel around an offset kitchen spatula (like you might use to turn pancakes) works well . . . pretty much the same basic idea.
