For those of you like myself that use a shopvac a lot, keep it clean. Theres nothing worse than who knows whats in that thing. Or whats growing in it. I usually clean mine once a week and put an air freshner in it to keep it smelling good

Good advise and to add to that never use a wet dry vac to pick up water while the filter is installed. Wipe out anything that is in it prior to picking up water. Nothing worse than a shop vac tank full of mud and candy wrappers. Lastly, let the vac dry out completely before putting it back together to help eliminate any mold that can start to grow in it.

Note- Run a 2:1 solution distilled water / distilled white vinegar thru the extractor or wet-vac either weekly, or after every ten fresh fills. Vinegar, contains Acetic acid, an organic carboxylic that will help eliminate scale, mild mineral deposits etc. from clogging your extractor.
