I've said twice that i'm gonna wait until the GG goes on sale when looking at it... just don't know if it will hold up... probably could get the HF warranty with it...

For the GG6 watch Amazon Gold Box deals (I think you can set it up so they send you a notice when certain items go on sale) and BJs.com. You just missed $80 on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and $90 on BJs the whole month of September.

If you just pay retail at GG you get a lifetime warranty. I wouldn't worry about it holding up unless you're gonna be running it day-in-day-out. I sure don't baby mine and it's doing OK. It's no Cyclo, but it has withstood some pretty, uhm..well, I don't want to say I'm abusing it...but you get the idea.

I was talking about the HF unit.

The HF unit is A nice machine so far.

Well, based on that i guess i'm going to pick one up, grab the warranty.. and hope for the best.

I think I really want a Makita so this will be it's side kick for smaller parts of the car.

Went and picked it up.. price dropped again to 59.99... took in the 20% coupon and got the 1 year extended protection for 5.99... it was 53.98 plus tax out the door.

Now I just need to order some pads and a 5.5 backing plate.

The only thing I've seen different is the HF unit does not have the UL rating sticker on it. And that the OPM is 6400 instead of the HD claimed 6800... both units come with extra brushes.
