Time to update my product chart

David, from what I have gathered, AM is a bulk car care company for dealerships and high volume detailing shops. Most weekend guys have much better alternatives. Their customer service is horrible. I have e-mailed them 5 times with zero response. Also they're not really advertised anywhere so folks don't know about them.

I have a couple of their products and they're nothing special - loaded with fillers and silicones and alcohol in their QD's. I found them to be marginal at best when compared with all the others on that list. The 777 is a nice APC though. I have a gallon.

ScubaStevo uses some of them and he says they're crap compared to other polishes, paint cleaners and waxes.

DanoWatt, Everett is notorious for HORRIBLE descriptions of his products. I've heard some vendors complain about them. I think Scott has used the Blue Moose and Compound Moose. With better product descriptions, proper marketing, more exposure and a slick new website, he could so much better I think. Just my $.02

That's really hard to believe. I've had nothing but great luck with their products and service here in Michigan(compared to other products/vendors). I usually buy supplies from my state vendor that comes weekly to our shop. I see things completely opposite, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion, after all that's really what it is. I guess AM is just my little secret in the industry.

Not to take the thread off topic, but the AM products I have tried are banana magic, xp swirl remover, magic mist, and 777.

I like the 777. There are much better QD's that don't have alcohol and higher carnauba content (of course more money). The XP was loaded with fillers and I find most any other polish (Meguiar's, 3M, Optimum, Menzerna) I have used are better. The banana magic is nice but Clearkote CMW, Mothers Reflection and FX lines are much better for a liquid wax.

Again, personal preference, but for the home enthusiast there are much better products than the supermarket stop AM line in my opinion.

DanoWatt,

As you may recall when we talked about this a month ago, I feel IP is a "6" and easily cuts on par with SSR 2.5. Also, OP gets a "4" from me, OC gets a "5" and OHC is a "7"; actually, OP is difficult for me to classify, as maybe it only cuts at a "3", but it cuts for longer than other light polishes.

I saw another chart similar on here that listed Pinnacle XMT and Optimum products on it also. If anyone knows where that is, please post it up, I need to do some shopping & want to try some new products.
