Thoughts from a cop’s daughter

Ron, not only did I log in specifically to hit the "thanks" button, but I also wanted to put it in words. God Bless Tomi too.

It really tweaks me that the media portrays cop shops as institutional biased. I hope it`s better for you in Canada. I watch as the media parades victims to hype their agenda. I watched some of the Dem convention and they paraded victims families to forward their agenda as well, but then a half hearted thanks to cops for their service......

Emergency workers know for the most part it`s a thankless job. You see people at their worst. But to have them dragged through the mud and then a trite "thanks" just burns me.

I live and work in a small town. I know some of the police officers as I have met them in the normal course of life events over time. My experiences has been positive.

I waive to all the marked police cars as a matter of courtesy. Any job ion which you have to fight your natural fight or flight instinct to me is a job the general public better appreciate.

Its a job you don`t know is being done well and competently until its NOT done.

Very easy to sit in a studio and tell the reporter why the policed who did this or that were wrong.

My main goal (I don`t have a dangerous job) it to do my job to the best of my ability and get home to my family. Its the same for them, only they have to deal with life threatening situations and they are human. Meaning they like ME make mistakes sometimes.

Thank you Richy and all the service people and police.
