This was fun!

WoW!

This gives me some confidence that my car may actually look like something once I get all done with it.

Looks great! Man, that pad sure had a ton of paint on it. AIO is stronger than most people realize.

Thanks.

The pad was a YELLOW cutting pad. The rags I used were covered with paint. Good thing I have a separate laundry room in my house that's just for the detailing rags... ;-)

 just curious as to why someone wanted that detailed
are they selling it or something

It's my understanding that Ford Fiesta (not to be confused with "Festiva" was only sold in the United States until 1980, and they only came in certain colors. Therefore, these cars have become quite 'rare' and 'in demand' among certain people in The US.

Having said that, .... I have no idea why the owner wanted the oxidation removed - he's not selling it, drives it every day, etc... Perhaps he simply wanted it to look better and protect the paint...

I think the detail costs were more than the car is worth. Nice job though. Anyone else have pics of other 80's cars like Pacers, Gremlins, Pintos etc.

Now thats detailing !!!

Anyone can detail a 03 Mercedes... That project seperates the men from the boys !!! Great Job Onthespot!!!! Then again we are thankful when that 03 Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Porcshe comes a knocking too !!! But cars like these are what make you an "experieced detailer". I have a old Jeep Wrangler to detail tomorrow in the AM that has been described to me as a "PROJECT"... Wish me luck !!!!!:D

Thanks Clean Dean... I always appreciate your feedback...

Good luck on the Jeep. Get some before and after pictures that we can see here!
