This poor dog needs some help!

Not sure how many people out there have seen the plight of this poor girl but she is in need of some kind-hearted people to help her. I don't post here much I'm more of a lurker, but I DEEPLY feel the need to post this. I know there are a lot of good people here, help if you can.

****Warning the pictures on the site are graphic this dog is/was in bad shape, just be prepared****

Read about and help Gypsy

I don't know about you, but I would love to have just a few minutes in a locked room with the miserable excuse for a human being who did this to this poor dog. I guarantee he would look a lot like the dog did when I was finished!

I dont know how any human being could do that to an animal. The fact that they can look themselves in the mirror afterwards is just sick. Now the poor dog is going to have a really hard time getting rescued because you cant ever fully trust it. It's been mistreated all it's life....so there is a chance that it could turn violent really quick without warning.....and it wouldnt even be the dogs fault. Just absolutely sickens me that things like this go on. :( I saw in the paper today that some mayor in a North GA town was involved in a cock fighting (roosters, sicko!) ring too. How much of a twisted pervert do you have to be to get off on animals fighting?!

I'll be happy to help you! I can't look at those pics again - it breaks my heart, sickens me and enrages me at the same time.

Jeremiah- Thanks for posting that. Tough to read/look at, but it's only by confronting such things that we can do anything to help.

Hope everyone's sending in what donations they can, those folks are doing some great work.

I'm gonna be optimistic. I've heard some pretty encouraging stories about previously abused dogs, and I've also spent time with a few of them. A lot of it hinges on how the dog is rehabilitated, and they seem to know what they're doing. If Gypsy finds the right home, things should work out OK.

A few minutes? Wouldn't take me that long. Bullit to the brain. Problem solved.

That police show on Animal Planet about those cops in NY City show some pretty bad stuff.

My friend adopted an abused dog that was severly mistreated. It was awful. Even years later, if my friend were to yell like cheering for a football game or shouting or darting through the house, the dog would melt down and shiver in the corner and soil herself. It took a lot of patience and love to care for her.

It's just beyond me how anyone can do such things. I have 3 dogs and couldn't imagine hurting them. It's good to see that there are a lot of caring people here:) The world needs more good people like the people here at Autopia!

It surprises me that people who do this to these animals are still alive. Why must innocent people and animals die and take abuse while a$$holes who think this is fun, live? If I ever got wind of anything like this, I'd be the first in there with every law enforcement agency available.

This is absolutely terrible, but the getting pictures are remarkable. She came a long way.

I am sickened and angered about the inhumane, inhuman, and criminal treatment of that poor animal. I was snacking and suddenly lost my appetite ! I just do not see how a person could do that and not even euthanize the poor dog, just leave it there to die miserably. Sick !:nono

It's unbelievable how evil some people can be. There are so many of us (good kind people) out there, that I find it hard to believe that these things STILL happen. Some people just lack basic compassion. If they could do this to a dog, how much would it take to do it to a person? It's people that do things like this, or kidnapping, murder or just plain other evil that will be the complete downfall of mankind! I just hope that everyone who reads this can let at least 1 or 2 people know about it, maybe we can make a difference!! Who know maybe someone out there will know more about who did this (and help get one scumbag punished).

No, I'd have to use a baseball bat. I want the pleasure of making this miserable excuse for a human being to feel some of the pain he inflicted on that poor dog. A bullet to the brain would be far too quick and far too humane for this *******. :angry

Yes but I wouldn't want to get dirty or waste any energy on that piece of genetic garbage. I would just want to quickly dispose of him/her/it. Takeing someone like that out wouldn't give me pleasure it's just something that needs to be done.

Yeah, the whole idea is to simply stop him/her/it from doing such stuff. Remember, [individuals] who do stuff like that don't process the way normal people do; you can't "teach them a lesson", you can only neutralize them.

One of the things I cannot grasp is if you do not like dogs, cats or any type of pet, why buy one?

My last dog and the current one were both rescued dogs with very different problems but as a family we have the time and the patients to help.

Maybe we should have an Autopia group donation - if such things are possible

2 out of the 3 of my dogs are rescue, couldn't ask for better animals:) Sure they have their problems and yeah I get mad at them... But I still love the little buggers!

Wish I could donate more but I'm out of a job and already gave more than I should have :( I just hope she get better! I'm sure someone will give her a loving home.:up

I get mad occasionally at my little guy, but hell...remember who's the human and who's the canine, for Pete's sake, and have a little patience. They only thing they really, REALLY want to do is please you (and play).

That said, here's my little bugger:

Sisko's Page

Mine looks like a teddy bear - how mad can you possibly stay at that face?

BTW, Jeremiah and Lowejackson - you guys are to be commended for taking in rescue dogs. :xyxthumbs :up :bounce

Wow... She almost looks like my little girl!

That's such a horrible story... Poor animals... And it's a wonder why people are so scared of Pitt Bulls... People breed them to fight because they have the right genetics to be good at it, and then let them destroy each other like that...

I'm so sad and angry... Poor things...

Anyone hear of the anti-pitt bull law in Denver? Apparently, they're going around taking the registered pitt bulls in the city, and putting them all to sleep... Because they're 'so dangerous'....

If anyone comes to my door for my dog, they're gonna have to take me first, kicking, screaming and biting...

Anywho, here's a pic of my girl.. I adopted her at 6 mos, when she was left to starve in an apartment after the tenants moved out. The cleaners found her a month later...

She's become the best dog I've ever had, hands down. Smart, loving, obedient, friendly... Just overall, mans best friend... Agressive? well, her and my grandmother took a nap on the couch together... What's that count as?
