As for the Miata, we worked on it for only a small amount of time and I was amazed how well it came out given the effort. I had put the Z2 Pro on my pearle orange car a while back as well as my navy blue vette and thought it looked plasticy. However, the Z5 Pro on the dark green did not look plastic at all in person. I do see where you might get that from the pictures though.



As for the pads, I plan to hit my 2K mile Infiniti with ZPC and a finishing pad this coming weekend. It does not really need much in the way of correction but a light polishing would not hurt. I feel that the finishing pad is a good choice for this for exactly the reasons that Lee mentioned.

Simply for the "love" of detailing and seeking that ultimate appearance. Zaino is so easy to use and the "need" to add protection and appearance enhancement only requires a wash causes many to apply another coat.



Additional application "not" required but soooooo much fun (if you like detailing, not detailing for income and enjoy pampering your vehicles).



When I used carnuabas I was the same way. Waxing whenever I got the urge.:help:



After using Zaino for a while one can pretty much estimate the amount to mix with ZFX so there is no waste or requirement to apply additional layers.:2thumbs:

My $0.02 on what others have commented . . .



Considering all the advantages of the Zaino line [appearance, protection, etc.], I most appreciate that Zaino requires much less time to maintain than other favorites. I have very little free time, as 90% of my week is travel. When I’m home on the weekend, I don’t have the energy or desire to spend SO much time maintaining all 4 cars [not including my parent’s cars]. A simple wash and Z6 or Z8 spritz is all that’s required to maintain shine and protection. No more simple wash and vacuum Saturday mornings turn all-day detailing event [which honestly I don’t miss].

Thanks and great question. For Z-PC you need to use very little and I put in a few circles of less than a dime size spot, a Z-6 spritz is probably good as well. I start the PC on 4 or 5 then bump up to 6 after 20-30 seconds.



For deep swirls you can get tremendous results with a rotary like a DeWalt or Makita.

ZPC has a learning curve. I prefer to put about 15 extremely small dots of polish on the pad and spread it out and work it fully. The less product you use the less dusting becomes an issue. It works best on cool surfaces and in the shade. It dries somewhat fast in warm temps and sunlight. Simply mist some water to increase the working time if needed. I've had very good success with an orange pad by RO and a green Edge and finishing pad by rotary.
 
Lookin great SilverLex! I'm tempted to run out and put a deposit down on an LS460 (wouldn't be here for 4 months anyway :eek: ) but my ol' ES still looks so good I'd be sad to part with it...and $70k lol.



How do you like the Exaltos on the ES? My MXV4s are wearing thin and I'm thinking about the Exaltos to replace them.
 
ZPC is the best PC scratch remover/cleaner I have trid for sure. I love and the ease of use is unmatched. No dusting, very good working time for the PC ( I think the Rotary causes it to break down too fast). This should be a must for people new to swirl removers as this stuff is even great when hand polishing.

I love them so far. After about 250 miles we have terrific handling and only at the cost of a very, very slightly stiffer ride over the prior Bridgestone Turanzas. It may be a bit stiffer versus the MXV4s but its worth it for the added wet traction.
 
After seeing this post i realized, i need a lot of practice tried Z-PC once saw no improvement and plus that was my first time using the pc. Thanks for the motivation



What have i learned:

Use less product

White pad

Higher speed (I think i had it on 4 or 5 not sure)

I tried zp-c last night and I was impressed! Left an awesome clean glossy finish and was very easy to use. I am so glad I bought it. It's a real time saver also.
