So tell me Eric is this new LSP better than BFWD? Because TBH I have used BFWD and it creates a deep wet look but the Durability is lacking IMO. And I find the oil based emulsion a little strange. If this new LSP has better durability we may have winner.

What are you comparing the BFWD to durability wise?

Almost anything.....

I have 4 layers of BFWD on my black truck over a 4 week timeframe that I didn't drive it. After driving it to work for 4 days the bottom half of the truck has not protection after washing it. No beading; No sheeting. The water just clings...
I have and use KHGS, Menz PL, Megs NXT2.0, Max Wax, Fuzion, Banana Gloss, DG AW, Colli 845 just to name a few.

I will say BFWD looks great but if I or clients can't drive their vehicle and maintain protection for 2-3 months then it will get traded or sold. I feel is is far to expect 2-3 months of durability from a sealant.

On my own vehicle, water does not bead immediately after washing, but the next time it rains, the water beads. Residual soap causing a reduction in surface tension perhaps? YRMV.

Like that should be a surprise.... nobody ever asks me to test anything either :(

If ANYONE on here deserves to test the latest gear its Eric. His writeups are awesome and his positive and helpful attitude is always good to have around any forum. I trust his judgement and look forward to more pics :bigups

What car shampoo are you using and how long are you letting it sit before rinsing? Usually, when you notice a reduction in beading on the lower half of a vehicle, it is because some of the soap residue (which has been running down the vehicle) is sticking to the paint, which is causing it to temporarily sheet. You should see the beading return to normal in a couple of days.

BFWD, even on finicky paints, tends to bead for at least 3 months.

Guess I don't recall saying that Eric wasn't deserving of being asked to test stuff.... :inspector:

I was using Megs GC on this final wash. I was washing and rinsing a panel / section at a time. I am fairly confident in my situation as the top half of the truck (above the belt line) was beading and releasing water quite well. I am not arguing that BFWD looks great. So far I am simply disappointed in the durability of it. I was hoping to use it on my truck through the winter as is doesn’t get driven often and when it is it is mostly in town.

Sun Pic: I went ahead and pulled it out into the sun for a better pic.

Any help would be great. I applied a coat a week over 4 weeks in which I did drive the truck at all. Simply a good re-wash to get the dust off and then another coat of BFWD.
