I just got done detailing my moms dark blue 1996 caprice.....the paint looked really good when i was done........so i was looking out the window at the car, and this bird flys right onto the top of the car, and took a quick peck right on the paint.......the paint had a super strong reflection, i have never seen this before, i like to think the bird thought it was a pool of water.........
because from several feet away it did :D

no not really.......i would post pictures but it rained 2hrs later.....and the next day tho clear and sunny its now covered in pollen and stuff.......NOT COOL.
used nxt soap, quick wax detail spray, then buffed over it with meguiars gold class paste wax
nothing major sure i could have gone over it with 2.5 poorboys, and gone crazy
but it rained and with all the pollen......decided it wasnt worth it, maybe in the summer after the pollen.....i hate pollen

I have no idea what happened, but birds are very territorial and if they see their reflection in a window, they will often attack that reflection.
Might have been the case with the Caprice.

We have this stupid moma red-bird that tries to attack our back porch window for the same reason LOL I'm thinking I need to cover the window so she can't see the reflection.

You can buy vinyl static cling pictures of some birds natural predators which is supposed to scare them away. I have no idea if they work, but it might be worth a try.
