Perhaps but who here is in that 99%. I know I'm not.

Well, the OP was asking, to paraphrase, if he had to try every new product that says it's "the best", and some of us are trying to answer that.

Yes, That new 105 is what I am referring to. They both are Polymer/Acrylic and according to people at Duragloss this new stuff gives a wetter look than the AW but the new 105 has a mild cleaner in it also. Don't see why you would want to apply the AW over something that gives a better shine on it's own? They also say they are working on another one. Oh well, My bottle of Duragloss AW is about done anyway. Wonder how this stuff will stand alone and how well it will cover/Eliminate swirls and scratches? Maybe time for some new stuff.....Honey , can I have the check book? On second thought maybe I better just buy it from my allowance,Lol. Mike

wetness and shine can be different things. A wetter look has a bit of distortion or jetting. Shine is reflectivity. I would describe AW as a hard shine with a thick optical look. I've used it over a wet looking product and it still looks great. IMO it didn't detract from the look-just altered it slightly. Don't automatically assume that AW is now obsolete.

I'm hoping they don't discontinue the AW for now anyway. Interesting that the wet look and shine are two different things when it comes to wax/sealers/polish. I always thought they would be the same and the wetter it looked the better it shined, like tires or black trim.

Anyway, it's kind of funny how fast they change or make a "new and improved " product so quickly. Like the old "Tide" commercials. Tide was called the best on the market for years and then ....you guessed it ..along came the "New and improved Tide"

I will have to try the new 105 Duragloss when the AW wears out. It's been washed with high pressure soap and water 3 times now and dried with a shamie and it still beads up and looks great.

Think I'll try a good scratch remover before I use the 105 to help get rid or cover some of these brier scratches. Thanks guy's for all your replies and help for this old newbie, Mike

even a good process can't fix all paint damage- some things you have to live with. In my case my car has acid rain pitting and spotting. any process that would remove those would likely thin the clear too much. In my case a product that doesn't hightlight the damage looks best.

Your statement is sad but very true. If one of us could come up with something that would REALLY fix the scratches and little dings just by applying and wiping it off we would be millionaires over night,Lol. No such miracle product out there but I'm working on it :) Mike
