This is... Awful. Horrendous. BAD!

Sounds like my brothers! Kick `em in the nards!

Post some pics of your progress! What are you gonna do about that clear coat?

I plan on taking pictures entirely at the end.

The clear coat failure is only on those two plastic trim pieces on the door. I plan on clean up the failed clear coat and respraying clear if I get the chance.

Why isn't your brother helping you with the detailing? That's the least that he could do. I'm sure that he did not recieve the car in the same condition which he dropped it off.

That's awesome that you're going to do alot of the work. Best of luck to you.

You would be surprised at how well (besides the paint) that you could get that jeep looking. Id treat it like an ex mine hilux i done two weeks ago & pull the seats/centre console/side trims/roof lining/floor carpet out & use heeavy duty cleaner with a scrub brush on the trim & for the seats/carpet/lining use a heavy duty cleaner/deoderising agent then get it out with an extractor. be carefull with removing interior trim as the clips can break very easily!!

More about how much I would trust him to do it all correctly.

give it to me ill show ya what can be done! Ill detail it.

While a truly professional job would be nice my parents are trying to put a little money as possible into this before selling it.

Just trying to get them convinced to replace the wind shield.

Wow, that's pretty nuts. I don't know how people can neglect stuff so bad. Even my friends who aren't car people still keep their rides clean. I only have one friend who abuses the crap out of her car, and it's always a mess, and has scratches and dents and cracked headlights, the whole 9 yards. When she got the car it was in perfect shape.

Definitely can't wait to see the after shots.

Thats really not that bad. it will clean up very nicely with the right products and some elbow grease. You might want to get some Purple power and some stain remover for the carpet. or strip it out and Herculine it for $100 bucks like I did. You should get anywhere from 2-3000 depending on miles. As long as it runs well you would be insane to part that out.

The final details: I gave it back to my parents washed with instructions they need to sweep out the cargo area. I did not buff it, but I did change the oil. I am tired of working on it.

My mother was very happy with the nearly spotless front area though! No pictures right now since I was at the York Jeep show all day in the sun.
