Rupes 15 and 75
My primary polish is AAT
Can`t recall every going back to Menz 2 step BUT I might add Esscence just to try down the road

What pads would you go with.
Currently use Rupes Green as well as the blue/yellow MF
Considering the thinpros, B&S or just more Rupes pads

The B&S Uro-Tech pads for the 15 are a great value at the 12-pack price + 25% off price match from AG and work great. That comes out to $6.25 per pad for the 6 inch pads.

6 Inch Buff & Shine Uro-Tec Foam Pads 12 Pack - You Pick!

I prefer the thicker pads but if I were you, I`d pick up a couple of the thin pads (like the LC Thin Pro or B&S Low Pro) to at least try out. You might fall in love with the thin pads.

I`m a big fan of the LC HD Orbital Pads on the 75: Lake Country 3 Inch HD Orbital Foam Pads

BUT here`s the big curveball....the RUPES foam and microfiber pads will be on Vega Deals tonight. So you might want to wait to see those prices before pulling the trigger.

p.s. we`re also adding 6 packs of a lot of the B&S pads too which should save you some money over the a la carte pad prices.

How come some multi pack pads are always sold out like Megs thin pads. I`ve wanted to buy a 3 pack again but they are always sold out even though all the singles are in stock.

Vision25 is the AG 25% off code. I wouldn`t use the Rupes pads with anything but Rupes polishes. I`ve had problems with Rupes pads deteriorating and delaminating using Menzerma polishes. Rupes is aware of the problems.

Thank you! That`s very helpful. I was driving today and thinking about how I just couldn`t buy a dozen. I don`t do that much polishing.

Today on The Auto Detailing Podcast I heard Richard Umbrell, president of Buff and Shine, say that there`s less stress on the thinner pads on long-throw machines. That seems counterintuitive to me, but that`s what he said and I`m sure he knows what he`s talking about.

On the podcast he also talks about how much more stress a long-throw machine puts on a foam pad and how they`ve had to create better foam to deal with it (specifically, the elongation of the cells).

I relly like the b&s euro tech over lc thin pro with my rupes and my gg6" i glad i went with them on rays recommendation a few months back, especially with buffing and polishing. the only time i`ve used lc pads since has been to jewel or apply lsp

I agree.

However, M100 and UC works great with Rupes blue microfiber, and M205, and UP works great with the Rupes yellow foam and microfiber pads.

Have not touched any of my Meg. polishes in a long time....go figure. Love the 3D polish

I hated the forum when 3d had ownership.
Whatever layout they did, the ad-blockers within G. Chrome would not load up the site proper.
Forums nice and good, like back in the ~david~ days

That is interesting, but you`re right....Richard Umbrell is a bonafide pad guru.
