Thinking about going back to rinseless...need some help

For a couple of years now I have been doing traditional washes. Very nice, but somewhat time consuming and wasteful in my mind.

So, I may try out some ONR again. In the past I had used sheepskin mitts. Any thoughts on this? I do NOT want to try the grout sponges. I did not like them. Anything anyone likes better?

Also...drying. I had used WW for a bit, but that's obviously not the best. So, my plan is to use some 400 or greater MF towels for the initial wipe, and then perhaps something lighter for the final wipe. Sound good? Maybe even a nice WW for the final wipe?

Lastly...I like to use a drying aid...always. Would something like OID, OCW, or even Opti Clean at a higher dilution work? I like to be well lubed while drying! :)

Thanks for the input.

I have been on ONR for 2 years. In the last month, this has been my routine:

1. ONR with MF towel folded- prespray a little on vehicle if it's dirty.

2. Wipe panel, flip and wipe over same panel.

3. Spray with Opt.detailspray

4. WW lightly to get most of the product

5. Buff or wipe dry with plush MF towel

I do all my regulars with this method. Works very well. Saves TIME! If the weather is cool, I'll do an entire side of the car and then move on.

Once a month or so, I'll spray wax vs. the detail spray.

Each customer gets 2 visits per month at about $70 per visit, per car. 2-2.5 per hour = a nice hourly income with 2 workers.

I say go for that or a waterless. My partner is using 3D's waterless and another product that is coming on the market soon. These are for cars that are dusty.

Go for it.

I use microfiber wash mitts. Work great, no problems yet.

I also use ProForce microfibers from Sam's Club... in bulk.

I do this for a living though(you might too :)) so my way of thinking on almost every process and product is KISS.. keep it simple stupid!

The Microfiber mitts (used to be available at Costco, may still be?) work great with ONR for my rinseless washes. If you can get a routine down, it's FAST.

I still use the Justin Murphy method for really dirty vehicles of pre spraying all the muck off with a pressure washer first if it's a big truck or really dirty.
