I've had my Velocity Red RX-8 for nearly 8 weeks now, and decided it was time to post some pics. This paint is pretty cool. When looking at it in direct sun, it has some cool gold flakes in it that really jump out at you. These are somewhat hard to photograph, but I gave it a shot and I think you can see them in a couple of the pics. When the car is in shade, it takes on a different color and look, more dark and reflective.
Current combo: SSR2, AIO and Trade Secret x2.
Much thanks to Anthony Orosco and GSRStilez for recommending Trade Secret Carnauba wax on Red. I highly recommend this wax. Gives the paint a deep wet "glow" that looks fantastic. Combine that with incredible ease of use and great smell, it is a real winner. Simply a pure joy to use.
Here is an overall shot:
Here's a shot of the hood taken from inside the garage that shows depth and reflection:
Here's an outdoor shot showing the paint in a combination of shade and sun. That's me with my yellow PakShak Ultra Fine MF!
This pic was taken in direct sunlight, and is about as good as I could get the gold flakes to show up in a picture:
Half shot of car. Again, notice how different the color on the hood looks compared to the side of the car that is in direct sun (although this pic doesn't show the hood all that well):
The last shot just shows the kind of "glow" that you get when the car is in the shade, due in part to the Trade Secret:
That's it for now. This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for products like AIO and Trade Secret, helpful forums such as this..........and 9000 rpm rotary powered vehicles. :xyxthumbs
