There are some things that really make you feel good

I just thought I would post this story that is detailing related..

I have a co-worker in my office that has a 2002 Ford Supercrew Pickup. I too have a 2002 Ford pickup. Anyway, we were talking about his need to really wax his truck. However, it must be noted that his is a 4 wheel drive FX4 and he also has a hard tonneau cover as well.. It has been at least a year since his truck has been waxed.scared He hesitates to do it because it is so much work and there is so much surface area to do. Just ask any full size truck owner with a hard tonneau cover. He talked to me about it and asked for some advice. The next day I brought in a grocery bag with QD, clay bar, SEPC and S100.. there were also a few MF towels as well.. At lunchtime, we went to his truck and I showed him how to clay, wipe down, use the SEPC and S100 on his truck. (Shout out to Scottwax on showing me the application of SEPC and S100, You da man Scott!!) We then made a road trip to the Harley Davidson dealer to get the SEPC and S100, plus a side trip to Autozone to get him some MF's. He later was able to get a clay bar as well.

So this last Saturday, he got out and washed, clay'd, SEPC'd and waxed with S100. He told me about on Monday and was very pleased with the outcome (said it looked better than when he picked it up from the dealer) and was incredibly happy with the ease of use of the SEPC and wax..

Well, it just made me feel good that I was able to help another person with detailing their car (albeit at arms length) and that given the feedback, he will probably keep it at this level due to having learned how to do it better and using the right tools (MF's) and a high quality wax..

Whew, I feel much better now.. do any of you have similar feelings when this type of thing happens?

good story!

Now I have to add... you don’t have a "ford pickup" you have the top of the food chain lightning Please don’t ever bring that stature of a vehicle down in any way...

Okok so I love them darn trucks:) Nice story, just think if everyone of us did that we could spread the word so fast it would take over the world ;)

such as a lightning 380 hp truck with a nice 8.4:1 compression ratio  haha!

Back to the topic, I help anyone I can out with detailing. The little bottle of cleaner wax I get with Mother's Clay bars go to anyone who wants them. I just got a kid hooked on s100 (not addicted to sniffing it  ) and if anyone is willing I'll show people how to detail their car with the PC for bout 10 bucks (supplies and gas.)

forgot to add, our trucks are the sme body style and all (even color if yours is red) excecpt yours has 200 more hp.

Wanna race? (since everyone else on the road thinks they can beat a lightning, I halfto think the same)

I have had over 30 vehicles (includes a couple of Vettes, Stang GT Conv 5.0) and this truck beats them all to where Samiam lives.. the wife said "go ahead and get that Vette that you have talked about (Z06) and I said, nope, like the truck better..

I know what you mean. I moderate a couple of detailing forums on other sites and I really get a kick out of the pics people post after following my advise, or even better, that they can they answer questions by other members correctly, just from learning from me and others.
