There are nine million white spots on my hood... that's a fact

Sounds good, this Dr. Colorchip... but I'm not ordering in from the US because customs f***d me once or twice already.

Touchup party in my garage today. :woot2:

The first quarter of my hood is in process, using regular original touchup kit, a very fine paintbrush, some 1200 and 2000 sandpaper, and masking tape. The first coat is drying at the moment, and it already looks a lot better. Can't wait to sand and polish it to see how the little spots of a bit lighter colour blend in with the surroundings.

I would like to excuse to everyone who finds my subsequent posting annoying, but I want to share my new discovery:

I divided the hood into three portions and started trying different strategies to get it looking good.

The first strategy was to thoroughly clean the area and start applying the touchup pain... not good.

The secon one, that is looking better in the proces, was to

- clean the area,

- polish it using the product linked to in the post above,

- see that many many spots dissapeared,

- repair the shallov ones with clear,

- now I'm waiting for it to dry

- tomorrow sanding and polishing again.

Looks much much better already, cant wait for clear to dry completely to continue. :)

A new issue... my polish won't take out the 2000 grit hazes/scratches.

Now I wonder If Armor All - Colour Restorer will do fine removing this haze or do I have to go get a more advanced paste. Hope not, because I'm trying to remain within my budget. Is there another way of making these hazy parts shiny again?
