There are currently 4 different cleaners for microfiber towels

1. Pinnacle
2. Sonus
3. Micropak Micro Fiber Cleaner & Revitalizer
4. Micro-Restore Microfiber Cleaner 16 ounce

Has anybody tried all 4 and come to a conclusion which one is the best cleaner of the 4? :headbang

No idea. However the MicroRestore is expensive for what you get! 16 washes at the most. You can't go wrong with either. Sonus seems to be very browse in application.

I have already used the Sonus and it didn't get the heavier spots off .. :headbang

I have Pinnacle and Sonus.

I like the Sonus a bit better. I feel the Pinnacle leaves my towels a bit less "thirsty".

I use ERA liquid and hot water, towels come out beautifully. Personally I can't figure out how detergents would know a fabric is made up of microfibers or regular fibers.

I have only tried the Sonus and Micro-Restore and both worked fine; I might give the Sonus a slight edge, but I'm splitting hairs.

To be honest, I'm not fully convinced that these specialist MF cleaners give superior results over using one of the OTC 'Free' liquid fabric detergents, which contain no perfumes, dyes, conditioners etc. followed up by a cup of white vinegar in the rinse water.

Your experience may vary, but so far I'm undecided.

Which OTC detergents are "free" of all of these? I'm running low on MF detergent and I'd like to give these a try.

I use Dreft which is made for babies clothing. When my son developed a rash as a baby, the Dr recommended it for this very reason.

Meaning you can use Sonus Der Wunder Washe for Pads AND Microfibers. THese cleaners cost alot honestly, but seem to work in some ways. Tide for me leaves an unappealing odor and leave my microfibers somewhat harsh. Leo what is ERA?

I think the ideal cleaner is something that breaks down waxes / chemicals, hypo allergenic, odor free, no dyes or conditioners, non toxic, bio degradeable, and whatever else you can say :lol :lmfao

THe Baby formula seems like a very good move considerin how crucial certain chemicals or cleaners have to be.

I just use wool lite in the wash cyle with the washer on warm/cold. Then for the rinse cycle i put viniger in there. Then in the dryer they go untill they are just slight damp and then i hang them to completly dry. My towels come out nice and soft but there are still a little staining on them. I too would be intrested in what kind of OTC detergents could be used other then wool lite.

I've just been washing my towels in Tide like anything else. I've never noticed that they perform worse after being washed that way than when they were brand new. I am, however, very intrigued to use a cleaner specifically for microfibers. I haven't tried any of them just yet, but I intend to. I'm sure there are other ways of getting them cleaned up properly with the woollite and vinegar and all that... but I don't have time to hang out by the washing machine and wait for the rinse cycle to start to add other products. Its cool that there are 'home remedies' that work for cleaning the towels, but I would rather just toss a capful of something in there with the towels when I start it up. I'll have to give the pakshak and pinnacle ones a try. Pinnacle has never disappointed me so far, so I don't have any reason to believe that they will now.

Yeah, I personally think it is just another scam to get our money. I mean, they don't clean any better than Tide or Gain or anything else. I have some that was given to me in a promo, and I will use it until its gone. But I don't think it's any better than regular detergent.

I have the Pinnacle Rejuvenator and I was just wondering on your suggestions on how is the best procedure in washing MFs

I've been using Pinnacle MicroRejuvenator for a while now. I do not notice the MF towels being any cleaner or softer. Once I use up my remaining bottles I will likely not order again.

That's funny because I like the Pinnacle better, LOL. Some if the results depend on water, washing machine, etc.

I've also used Charlie's Soap and really like it too - so much that I now use it for my regular laundry needs. I also use it for smaller mf loads, but use Pinnacle for washing big mf loads.

I'm using the Sonus for pads mainly. It does a good job, I just like the Pinnacle a little bit better.

The water in my area is hard water but I guess I will experiment with the 4 cleaners and find out. :bass

I wouldn't go so far as to call this a "scam". As a retailer of some of these products, that would make me a scam artist. I'm not a big fan of that title.

I really like designated microfiber cleaners. I like the idea of a product that is made to break down grease and silicone while restoring the pile and plushness of the towel.

Is there really a difference between a designated microfiber cleaner and traditional laundry soap? I think there is. The designated cleaners are much more concentrated and designed to break down grease, silicones and oils that may be present on microfiber towels. If I remember correctly, the ingredients in most laundry detergents are designed to break down organic stains like blood, grass and mustard stains.

As far as using vinegar during the rinse cycle, I really don't like the smell of vinegar so I will not be using it ever. The new wave of microfiber cleaners make sense for people like me.

That's funny. I thought I was the only person that hated the smell of vinegar!
