The World’s First Nanoprecision Detailing System

In adddition, sealant warranties do not apply to non-factory refinished panels. For example, if your vehicle is sealed and then needs a re-paint, the sealant company won't warranty the re-paint. Just the factory painted coating. Some companies will give free product for the reapplication, but will not extend the warranty.

The warranty I give with my Toughguard install does warranty the painted and repainted area. And the warranty is renewable for life in 3 year increments. I go out check the paint, if it looks good warranty is renewed. If it doesn't, I fix the defects by removing swirls and microscratches, and reinstall Toughguard and give them a renewed warranty.

If it wasn't for the Zaino, Chrystalguard, and Toughguard thread on the Roadfly forum and the test results that mike posted there I would have never started installing Toughguard.

Are you warranting the product as a courtesy gesture or does Toughgaurd stand behind a repaint? Permaplate/Mark V/Malco/CPC(R-2000)/Carbrite/Ziebart won't re-insure a finish that isn't factory applied. Even if the repaint looks good, doesn't mean that shortly down the road it will stay that way. There's alot of varaibles to consider with paint failure that you should look into to reduce your liability.

Toughguard, Toughguard . . . where do I know that name from?

Oh, that's right. They spammed us, we banned the account. Then they shilled us, hard, and we banned that account. This threadjack isn't doing much to improve their reputation.

Let's get the thread back on topic, please.

Tort,

Calm down. I am not spamming, just stating facts. I doubted that surf garage was the first nano sealant like it's stated on autogeek. I said Toughguard was. Do you have a problem with the truth about an automotive paint product? I install Toughguard. I correct paint. I wash cars. I am a detailer. Some people see me install Toughguard and want it installed. If they can't afford my service I sell them the product and they install it themselves.

My new vehicle work is warranteed. If they install it they don't get a warranty.

What is wrong with that?

Toughguard warranty covers the paint or repaint. The warranty work is usually done at the dealership. Then Toughguard is reapplied. If a customer has a wreck and needs the finish reapplied I do it.

David,

I pay insurance to cover each warranty-backed install I do. Toughguard handles it from there. The objective is to do an excellent job and not miss any spots. I double and triple coat the parts that are to be protected. That covers me and makes my customers happy.

I have no problem with the truth. However, since you profit from sales of Toughguard, and have offered no objective proof of anything (only claims of how well the product performs), the jury's still out on just what the truth is, IMO.

Here are the facts that I'm aware of:

* Two Toughguard representatives were banned, one for out-and-out spamming, the other for shilling. According to the TG website, those two people were the International/National Sales Manager, and the IT and Marketing Director (Sales) for Toughguard.

* The only proponent of Toughguard around these parts profits from sales of the product.

I'm sorry the company you deal with dug you such a huge credibility hole, but that's how it is. If you'd like to contact Mr. Gums and Ms. Clifton to let them know how badly they've damaged their product's reputation, I'll gladly give you their e-mail addresses (readily available on their website).

Going back to SC I was sent the nano kit by them for free but I never tested it because you need 2 days to do it. I can only say that if it works like there wax , glass cleaner detailer and other products it has to be a good item.I an yet to hear a complaint about there products yet.

Do they work for TG or ultimate paint finish? Two different companies. I work for and install Toughguard for Show Car Shine. Is that wrong?

I am not selling a product or trying to sell a product here, just stating facts.

I don't think you will be able to install it in cold weather. If it's nanotechnology it'll need some heat. Molecules don't move fast when it's cold.

Alan,

When did they send you a kit. Doesn't it get cold in Alaska in like always? :LOLOL

So you do kind of work for ruggedguard or whatever it's called. You sell their products to your customers, doesn't that sort of bring conflict of interest to the equation?
