The Wax Shoppe Products...

The Wax Shop Slick Stuff is a fine QD. I used it regularly, and liked it a lot. For an OTC product, it's as good as or better than any other on the market and I recommend it. I've seen it at AutoZone and at Manny, Moe and Jack's.

I've never tried their wax but just recently bought their slick stuff qd. It's a very nice qd that leaves a nice gloss and depth. It's right beside Final detail, EO wipe n shine and other fine qds. It's also very slick to touch.

A Blast from the Past, although they are still available in some places. At one time they did a lot of promotion through NHRA and proved to be a decent "consumer" product. Not really what you would consider a durable product but they could provide a quick and easy shine.

The Wax Shop Super Glaze was used a lot by raceing pros. because of the high solvent content it would cut the oil film off race cars . The Wax Shop is now owned by Turtle Wax.

I can't quite remeber the name, It might have been super glaze. It was in a tan bottle. Very liquidy, I really liked the product when I was using it about 8-10 years ago. pretty slick and went on and off super easy! But now, 8-10 years later and being an Autopian I wouldn't by the product, with all new stuff out there, there are products that are much better. Great OTC product though.

I loved the Slick Stuff! It really was super slick and it smelled great. Actually after reading these posts it was a blast from the past!! I may have find that Slick Stuff again and give it another try!

Anyone online sell it?

Slick Stuff is a great QD like Mmmph said. I used a lot of Wax Shop products when I first started my detailing business. Super Glaze is a nice wax if you want a quick shine but you will get less than 4 weeks durability, even in a wax friendly enviroment. Their polishes are pretty decent and so is their plastic polish.

I am a novice, but I have used LRV. I believe it stands for Leather, Rubber, & Vinyl. I have used it on the interior dashboard etc and works well as long as you spread it evenly. I am transitioning to Aerospace 303 for the dash after reading reviews on this site.

Sorry guys, I know I should have used the search. However this being the Product Discussion I really didnt care. I wanted a newer updated opinion on this stuff. Thanks for all those that replied.

They have a swirl cutter and I was wondering if it would be of any use. However I think I will just stick with Meguires.

A little off the subject, but the current owners of Wax Shop (Turtle Wax) brought the founder/previous owner back out of retirement to try to revitalize the brand.

Jess came by my booth in Las Vegas last week, and it was great seeing another old guy back in the business. I wished him luck in getting the brand back to its previous glory.

I used LRV (Leather, Rubber, Vinyl High Gloss Conditioner/Protectant) yesterday supplied and requested by a customer.

Easy to use, no streaking, dries with a high-gloss look. Not my cup of tea, but for high gloss lovers, definately something to look into.

I'm a big fan of the Slick Stuff Quick Detailer. I really like the way it works on carnauba waxed finishes, and I've had great luck with it on black - in my humble opinion its one of the best QDs out there, regardless of OTC or not. In addition, it is perhaps my favorite smelling car care product of all time.

forrest-thanks for the information. I'd also like to see Wax Shop return to its former glory. Other than poor durability, Super Glaze is a very nice, extremely easy to use wax. Great for on site waxing at a car show.
