The unofficial PwS v3 review/input thread

I've specifically been looking for a AIO replacement as supplying AIO in the UK now is getting silly expensive.... I think PWS will more than fit the bill, and as a one step I prefer the PWS both to use, and it's looks..... This was a quick session I managed last week and posted on a UK forum...Thanks to Steve for the samples!

Had a chance to give Poorboys Polish With Sealant a go yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't get time to test it with a multitude of pads / speeds etc but, in the hour 1/2 I did have I gave the car a once over using a Lake Country Orange Pad and kept the PC at speed 5..... I purposefully went for a stronger pad to see if a relatively light product that is claiming to work differently with different pads would go with this type of pad, and also, the car needed a fair bit of tidying.

Washed with Poorboys SSS and lambswool mitts
Dried with Aquatouch Microfibre Chamois'
Poorboys PWS with LC Orange Pad @ speed 5
Residue removed with Poorboys Mega Plush Towels.

Found PWS VERY easy to work with and remove. With the Orange pad you could see it lightly removing marks and feint lines but, I do expect a fair bit of that was due to the pad as well.... I will be doing another layer in the week with a polishing pad and see how it behaves, and then another layer with a finishing pad. From what I can see so far is that this will make an excellent finishing polish after heavier grade polishes, or just as a one step cleaner / sealer akin to the likes of Klasse All In One to which I found it's given similar results to using the same pad, although I did think the PWS felt slightly slicker once removed.

Anyway, the afters:

Cheers.

It removes swirls when you use an agressive pad and or machine. With just a polishing or finishing pad by PC it won't remove swirls = no filling. It is quite pad dependent. I'm sure Steve has some laying around still and you may get one with an order from him or I think Troy at DC is putting them in orders over $50 at detailcity.com if you leave a note in the comments box.

Yes, we have a few left and are still including them in orders over $45 with a calendar and magnet too until they are gone :)

I've only used it hand applied/removed so far. It was uber easy to apply and remove, did not stain the rubber around the sun roof and wiped off with no effort. Slick as a whistle and, as Steve mentioned, even slicker the next day. Something I found extraordinary is that after curing the surface won't even show fingerprints! Very nice reflections also, a winner.

I also tried a little experiment....after applying it to a surface super thin I wiped it off immediately before it had a chance to haze. The results were the same as the panels that set up for 10 minutes or so. I have a car to do on Saturday that they just want to "look good" and this will be what I'll use with the Cyclo. Great product without question.

That's great for those that need over $45 worth of stuff, but when will it be available to those of us that want to buy a bottle of the product?

Probably next month ...the labels are being made and the factory is closed for vacation :)

So, here we are, two work days into "next month".
Any updates on a release of the PwS?
Who needs labels anyway? Just mark PwS on the bottle with a Sharpie and start shipping.:D

Actually, I don't really need any more products. It's just that I received a gift certificate to the DC Store for Christmas and I'm anxious to use it.:)

Proofs of the labels are not back yet, but we are preparing to move quickly as soon as they are :)

It would be nice to have an entire thread of pics dedicated to the new sealant..The 1st pic showed some very impressive results :bigups

Are their any bonding/curing issues with PwS, if you apply a topper of another sealant right after applying PwS.

If you top it immediately you are basically using the PwS as a polish. The Sealant will take 24-72 to fully cure by itself, and as it cures it gets slicker and more durable.

Just had my first experience with Polish With Sealant Version 3:

My 91 Acura Legend had not been washed in 3 weeks due to various insane weather systems that kept knocking on our door. I washed with Poorboys SS&S first of course. I applied the PwS with a finishing pad on speed 4 on the PC. On some panels I worked the product in for a bit and some I just applied and moved on. Then I let it sit on the entire car for about 30-40 minutes. Removal was VERY easy. Very little dusting was present, if any. I followed it up with Spray and gloss and the result was lots of slickness. LOL

We'll see what the car looks like in the sunlight tomorrow.
