This might be too general of a question...



For me, the 'steps' mean polishing... other people, I think many others, consider a 1-step detail when using an AIO product which will polish and seal in one step.



Whether it's 1 or 5 step, process is the same other than the amount of polishing steps for me... wash, clay, polish, seal... I focus more on exterior correction so I do estimates solely based on that, and if interior is requested I'll do a separate estimate for that... hope this helps some...

Thanks for the info, I found the answer. I wasn't sure if my thinking was right but found out it was.

a one step is generally considered something like poliseal, HT-69, megs 66, KAIO, etc



a two step is something like megs 83 then megs 80, then wax, or menzerna SIP then 106ff, then wax



a three step usually is a heavy compound, then a light compound, then a polish - something like megs 105/83/80/wax



a 4 step - is well, just more compounding and polishing

4 step - jeez I've been at this how long? my arms hurt
