I remember owning a black Alfa 164, I would swear the swirls were caused by the disturbed air from birds flying too close to the car

Softest factory paint out there is the Benz SL 65 Black Series. Full Carbon Fiber body. Sneeze, and a swirl forms before you eyes, and I'm not joking. I maintain it and I'm a nervous wreck everytime I wash it.

sounds like the problems i had when i worked on my brothers 03 mach1. it had an after market paint job and that hing would marr up if u looked at it wrong.
