The reason

No such luck. I hate cell phones. Come to think of it, I hate phones. I first moved to Honduras to get away from phones. Then, Honduras got into cell phones before the U.S. did (lack of infrastructure for regular phones). Now everyone has their face buried in a cell 24/7 and I am expected to shove the thing in my pocket and answer every text sent. I`m a grumpy old man.
 
Heh heh, we used to experience extended power outages at our house, so we`re pretty well-prepared to go 19th Century.

Cell phones? My wife and I use about 15 minutes annually between the two of us, maybe not that much. Strictly a tool for emergencies.
