GE (Comcast, NBC, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, et al).
NewsCorp (Fox, Wall St. Journal, NY Post, et al).
Disney (ABC, ESPN, Pixar, Miramax, Marvel Studios, et al)
Viacom (MTV, Nick Jr., BET, CMT, Paramount Pictures, et al)
Time Warner (CNN, HBO, TIME, Warner Bros., et al)
CBS (Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, NFL.com, Jeopardy, 60 Minutes, et al)
 
Perhaps related/?not?- I suspect that most people`s intake of "News" (scare-quotes intentional) is more a matter of stroking their Confirmation Bias and Outrage Addiction than actually trying to obtain objective information about current events that are genuinely relevant to them personally.

I don`t understand it either. They are like the old mafia, "We wouldn`t want something happening with your credit info would we? Look you pay me a fee and I can stop sharing your credit info with everyone!".

I have my credit locked with the 3 major credit burrow`s but I have to pay them to lock (not share MY info) with other people/business that pay them to get my credit info. Thats a heck of a racket, my personal info is your product and you charge for access to it yet if I say i dont want you sharing MY info with others I have to pay you to stop sharing it and also have to pay you more if I want you to share it with a certain person or business.

Too true. I also have a credit lock in place with all 3 bureaus. Such a racket.
 
I see where you got confused Ron, you think we are all equal. Well you are wrong on that she is a Liberal women she can say things Conservative men are not allowed to say.

Though actually, I think she has a point of sorts. While I of course believe it to be, uhm...a mistake....I do believe that there`s that perception among many people and that it hurts the GOP. And a *WHOLE LOTTA* Republicans I know behave almost as if they`re *trying* to give that impression! Optics matter whether they oughta or not.

It`s getting to be regular- IRL, I`m always saying stuff like "you know I agree with you on most of these Issues, but sheesh man you come across like a walking talking advertisement for the Far Left, you`re simply gonna alienate anybody who doesn`t currently agree with you and that`s counterproductive at best". Usual response is something useless about how everybody oughta give up their positions and "just get on-board". Yeah, see how that works for ya...

Where do we go? Elsewhere...I don`t believe I can alter the opinions of adults who disagree with me about politics, nor that it`s necessarily my place to do so, so I simply don`t go there. No upside IMO, and I don`t see any point in [messing] up my friendships with the Liberals I know....some of whom really *are* pretty far out there in Left field, but who are Good People nonetheless.
