NAACP: Black Police Officers No Longer Black

After the Keith Scott shooting in Charlotte, NC the NAACP has proposed a new reason to explain how black police officers are racist. Put simply, if you are a black police officer you are no longer black. Despite all the overwhelming`evidence that has been made available which shows`that the shooting was justified, the NAACP is certain that Scott was unjustly killed.
The civil rights group had a list of demands released Tuesday to the Charlotte Police Department to make sure that black cops never again shoot and kill armed black men who pose a threat. The NAACP further solidified this by making the following statement:

“Many black people who become police officers become blue, not black. In order for you to survive in a police department, you take on the police department’s ideology, ways of life, and culture.”

Essentially what the NAACP is saying is that once a black person becomes a police officer you are no longer truly a black person.`Once a black person makes the decision to serve their community, the NAACP thinks that they`become a threat to the safety and well-being of innocent black men by conforming to racism which they claim is deeply rooted in all of policing.
There is no denying Charlotte Officer Brentley Vinson is a black man and a black cop. He is the son of one of the first ever black detectives on the Charlotte Police Department. He played football at`Liberty University and Fork Union Military Academy and there have been no reports of police misconduct on his record.
Keith Scott is being hailed as husband and father of the year despite the fact he tried to kill his wife and has a long, violent criminal history.

Keith Scott`was shot after police told him over 10 times to drop the gun that he was holding. A gun was recovered`on the scene, bystander photos shot the gun on scene, and the police department photos shot the gun. Now the camera footage shows Scott exiting his vehicle with something in his right hand.`Despite evidence, the shooting sparked riots all over Charlotte North Carolina. Dozens of officers and civilians have been injured, with thousands of dollars of property being destroyed or stolen. This incident has absolutely nothing to do with racism and trigger happy police but mass media and the NAACP would like you to think otherwise.

Did the NAACP really express that (explicitly) or that somebody`s "interpretation" of something else that they really did express?

Could have been me.................

Good Heavens I hope not ;) Anybody who behaves like that has issues and oughta get a Psych Eval instead of 15 minutes of fame. For some reason it seems like all sorts of nutty behavior is being mainstreamed. Why would any adult ever behave that way?!?

I am so DONE with the café here at work

every day I try to support them, I eat their crappy chicken every day, 1 because its easy and 2 because its less than $6 with fries and drink

they give you 3 selections of `grill specials` and generally only 1 of the 3 are available

today I was actually looking forward to their pulled pork, its nothing great but its okay

nope not today, so I went with old faithful, grilled chicken - which costs me 5.78 every day with a drink and fries

well today since it wasn/t on the special (which It never is btw) - it cost me almost $7!!!!

If I wouldn`t have already been super hungry and didn`t really want to make a scene, I would have really complained more

I advised the guy that the `special` they have is actually Non-Existent, so he offered to give me a refund for the difference

I asked him if he just found out the special was not offered today, he said no.. I said, then why don`t you update your system then?

how is that any efficient way to run a business?

I spoke with the mgr and got my full refund, kept my food..and advised him he`d be lucky to ever see me in there again

I`d rather eat from the vending machine that support a poorly ran business

Guess I should have brought a salad or something! haha

ok rant over now time to eat this crappy food

Well, IMO conviction for a Felony shouldn`t categorically result in a suspension of voting privileges and I`d rather felons vote from their cells than be transported to/from/etc. for it.

I too believe that a conviction shouldn`t categorically deny a felon from voting. I think they ought to be able to earn the privilege back. That said, voting is a privilege (maybe less so this time around ;)) and while incarcerated this previlege should be put on hold. Just my 2 cents.

Noticed anything out of place on this Honda Ridgeline:

:hmmm:

nice

he`s got a sleeper Porsche engine under that hood

and he`s never home Friday night (football child)

still cracks me up that people put those stickers on their vehicles or even worse the giant baseballs or footballs in front of their yard

"hey- i``m not here on game nights- rob me!"

Re Inmates voting- IMO too many people are incarcerated for [nonsense reasons]. Guess we can agree to disagree on this one.

with the % of americans that are incarcerated

one could infer some powers to be don`t want their vote to count anyways - could possibly sway some under the table handshaking from happening

Don`t disagree, though I wish I could. Sometimes something is just soooo obvious that I have to catch myself before I trot out a typical Conservative Voter opinion that might not be valid.

And yeah, the American incarceration numbers are a [freakin`] disgrace, especially when you look at what we lock so many folks up *for*.
