The "Really ?!?!?!?!" Thread

The GOP included cutting funding for Planned Parenthood so it turns out to be another policy vote rather than just about Zika so GOP can claim Dems are block progress and Dems can say they defended Planned Parenthood. This is how American gridlock works. Both sides need to have simple bills with no policy riders that prevent progress on a key funding initiative.

We really need to fix Washington, I think one the biggest helps would be eliminating these BS bills and appropriations that include everything under the sun in one vote. They were voting for funding for military stuff and Zika virus but also to un-fund part of planed parent hood and BLAH BLAH BLAH. those all seem like separate issues. Both sides do this all the time attach stuff that has nothing to do with what the main bill is about to try and force the other side to pass something they dont want or to get kick back appropriations for there home state. I don`t know how you fix it but this stuff needs to end, but what do you expect from a bunch of lawyers they love muddying the waters and making things needlessly complicated.
 
I need to try this on the wife, oh honey i looked at the grocery list and I can approve it but I had on thing to add a new fishing reel for me. Oh you wont approve it if I add the reel to the list well then I guess you hate the kids and want them to starve.

I dont think it would work, as both parties know which way whatever sitting president will go with those so they wont send bills through that they believe will get chopped up by the president. If they were gullible enough the presidential party would get what ever they want left in and the non presidential party gets the shaft every time.
