I agree, and see both every day. Some people feel that weaving through traffic will get them where ever is so important faster than anyone else. Part of it is due to people refusing to give up the left lane, some is because they can`t understand traffic patterns. The worst is drivers who have an ego, and as soon as they start getting passed, they feel the need to speed up and not let you pass, leaving you at an impass in the left lanes. This annoys me more than anything..

In many cases, pleaded down if you have a good lawyer or just lucky.

For example, if you are in Atlanta and get caught for speeding 70 in a 55 mph zone on I-20 (between the loop), you are just one of the unlucky ones since if you are driving 55 to 60 you will be left behind. Atlanta runs 70+ most everywhere but you see random people caught.

Right, but my primary interest is always in not getting cited for RO as that`d mean the vehicle gets impounded (i.e., touched and marred up). Since the ticketing LEO can always write it up as a minor infraction it pays to be LEO-friendly.

And if you`re in Clayton county going north on I 75 as it goes under Old Dixie between there and 285 CCPD sets up there CONSTANTLY!!!!!!

It drops to 55 there just as you leave the city of Morrow and they are freaking BRUTAL!

I have to go downtown to my back doc every month, and just as I get to Old Dixie I`ll set the cruise on 60, move over to the second lane, (in my bright red Infiniti) and I`ll be getting passed on BOTH SIDES.... yet there will be a CCPD on both sides of the road (sometimes as many as 4 of them) and they will ALWAYS hit me with laser when a 20 year old Camry passes me on the left going 75 plus.!!!!! 😣

I`ll go by the cop(s) pointing at the half a dozen cars that passed me and he`ll still be pointing that darned thing at me.

Of course I`ve NEVER been caught by them (not for lack of them trying however) thanks of course to my lifelong friendships with Escort products! 😁

Here in Texas, it is now a ticket-able offense to be blocking traffic whilst driving in the left hand lane, or impeding the flow. I tell you what, if the police wanted to, they could make a killing with these types of tickets, in certain areas of Texas.
