The "Really ?!?!?!?!" Thread

So Verizon is running a special for the Iphone 7. $10.00 a month for 24 months. I just paid full price two weeks ago for a Christmas gift for my daughter. Unopened/unactivated. I call Verizon and they tell me I have to send that phone back and REORDER a new one. Really? It can`t be changed in the computer? SO I have to return a brand new phone to exchange for the exact same thing for them to give me the better price. And we wonder why things cost so much. Unreal.

There`s this shoe company, New Republic man by mark mcnairy. They advertise on Facebook all the time. Sharp looking shoes at a very reasonable price.

Theyd been low on stock for a while but re-upped. I ordered a shoe. Black suede oxfords. Next day I get shipping confirmation. I check after a couple days, tracking never updated- still says label created. Two weeks go by with no progress. I check with customer "service," if you can even call it that. They say they`re gonna get them shipped out ASAP.

Two days later, they inform me they never had them in stock, but a full refund is "being requested." WTF, really? You`re requesting a refund of my money for something you never had to sell me? The refund is a given, there oughta be an additional credit if you ever want me to ATTEMPT to order from you again.

Absolutely pathetic.

Well I got a little fired up after watching this "Leah remini" show on a&e. I`d had a cocktail and began tweeting to Scientology. I called them quacks, said they`d pay for their lies. Also told them to eat... waste, so to speak. One of their cronies responded, told me they wouldn`t do that and not to speak of his church that way. Oh yeah, that guys display name was L Ron Hubbard, the dead guy that started it. He`s on twitter posing as a dead guy, lol.

Anyway, noticed today that despite likes and such from other anti-Scientology types, my twitter account is on suspension. Curious for how long or if I`m actually banned.

From a time proven hypocrite....

President-elect Donald Trump, asked about possible sanctions against Russia in the wake of alleged cyber-attacks during the presidential campaign, replied "I think we ought to get on with our lives."

You might oughta ramp up your paranoia level, poking those [individuals`] worldview with a stick might stir `em up and you know how True Believers can be.

Heh heh, I`m pretty good at the whole 24/7 Self Control thing, but I stay far away from the keyboard when I`m in my cups ;)

Not a joke: California to actually begin regulating cow farts - NaturalNews.com

(NaturalNews) Cow manure is producing too much methane, according to the California Legislature, which seeks to substantially reduce what it considers climate change emissions over the next decade and a half. Officials recently approved regulations on "cow flatulence and manure," both of which supposedly contribute to greenhouse gas releases.

The bill`s author, Democratic Senator Ricardo Lara of Bell Gardens, approved the measure recently and agreed to give dairy farms more time to comply. Regulators hope to reduce methane emissions to 40 percent below 2013-levels by the year 2030, reports CBS News.

The measure also aims to "significantly increase" composting in order to reduce the dumping of food waste in local landfills, which officials say releases methane gases upon breakdown.

Factory farming, as well as the commercial food sector, are among the most harmful industries when it comes to the environment, sustainability and public health.

?? food in a landfill makes methane, but composting doesn`t? Am I missing something?

They use compost digester to convert food waste into methane they capture the methane and burn it to power steam turbines to make energy. Fun thing is, do you know what happens in a landfill? They capture the methane gas and do the same thing with it, only difference being some of the methane escapes the landfill while its open and operating.
