This also means put your head between your knees and kiss your a$$ goodbye.....

Wasn't life great before the 60's!! :bigups
That was when women didnt have to work!;)

Their work was inside the home taking care of their man and kids and house.:bigups

My Mom didnt have to work and was always there for us ,it was great I must agree!

This is what 2013 should be:

Question your mate when he comes home to make sure he was really working.

Grab the phone as quickly as possible to check all his outgoing and incoming calls and texts to make sure he wasn't out with his buddies.

Pretend like your back is hurt so he can massage it.

Tell him he needs to run back to the store to get dinner even if there's already food in the fridge

Find something to argue with him about then make him cook the meal

Tell him the meal is burnt and not enough spices seasoning was added

Complain about always having to do the dishes so that he will do them instead

I agree with you, I was just poking fun at an old add.......:bigups

I find it somewhat amazing how this was commonplace and perfectly acceptable, or at least it seemed so.

The times were different, the country was different and if you really look closely at the changes that have taken place it's at times hard to comprehend....

my girlfriend is a pre-medical student and we have an understanding that if she becomes a doctor, I will retire and become a house husband. She would make more money than me anyways if I was a dentist, so I don't see why not :)

Honestly, if you get over the ego part, staying at home all day where you get to culture whatever interests you may have sounds like an awesome deal. Sure there will be household duties and stuff, but I can honestly say that I've seen people who are stay-at-home parents and they sure have the life!

Nothing wrong with that!:bigups

I think stay at home Moms/ Dads sounds more glamerous than it really is though. Theres a lot of work that goes into raising kids.
